Once you have arrived in Roatan you will meet your local English-speaking snorkel shore excursion guide right outside of your Roatan cruise ship pier. Then, board the transportation and relax for the quick 15-minute ride to French Cay. In French Cay, you will board your 30-foot-long boat, which accommodates up to 16 excursion guests comfortably. Soon you are off cruising over the turquoise blue water on your way to the snorkel sites.
Depending on weather conditions, you will visit three of the following four snorkel sites: French Key Marine Park, Coco View Reef Wall, Prince Albert Shipwreck, or Big French Key. All four sites are located near each other, so you will not have long waits between sites. The shore excursion captain will make the determination on which you will visit.
When you arrive at the first site, your Roatan snorkel excursion guide will pass out the snorkeling gear, show everyone how to use it, and then assist everyone into the water.
At all the sites you will have the opportunity to see large shoals of grunts, lobsters, lionfish, reef squid, butterfly fish, stingrays, and beautiful different colors and shapes of corals that your guide will help point out. Prince Albert is a 164-foot-long cargo ship that was sunk in 1985 to create a Scuba Diving sight and artificial reef. Since it was sunk a large variety of sponges and coral have begun to grow on the hull. The main deck is around 26 feet deep with a maximum depth of the hull at over 65 feet deep.
After snorkeling at three sites you travel to the northeast shore of Roatan to rest and relax for approximately 1 hour or so if you choose to (your guide will ask but it is up to you if you would like). You will find all amenities so you can eat, drink, and relax in total comfort (food and drinks are at your own expense). When your time at the beach is up your transportation will take you back to your Roatan cruise ship pier.

Snorkel at 3 different sites in the French Cay area and discover the marine life Roatan has. This is a great Roatan Excursion that offers you the opportunity for amazing snorkeling, a beach break, and creating some great memories.
