Meet your local shore excursion guides outside your Roatan cruise ship port and board your air-conditioned transportation for a scenic 15-30 minute ride to French Cay where you will board your boat. Sail the crystal clear water to French Cay, one of the best-preserved reefs on the southern coast of Roatan. Your guide will pass out the snorkeling gear and show you how to use it. Once you have all of the equipment, your guides assist you into the water and lead you on an easy and relaxing adventure. The snorkel shore excursion boat will remain nearby to ensure your safety.

The water is shallow, so you will see an abundance of live coral and marine life. Don't forget your underwater camera because the photo opportunities are limitless! Along the mile-long reef, you can see lobster, lionfish, squid, butterfly fish, and if you are lucky, southern stingrays from a safe distance below! Even though the snorkel covers approximately a one-mile stretch, there is very little kicking needed as you will drift with the slow current. Snorkelers of all ages will enjoy this one!

The snorkeling time takes approximately one hour. You will board the boat and cruise back to get back on your transportation and head to Monkey Park just a few minutes away! If you ever wanted to get up close and personal with monkeys, sloths, exotic birds, iguanas, and more, this is the spot. There are countless monkeys in residence at this animal preserve. You will spend about 40 minutes in the park.

For your last excursion stop choose between the Beach Break where you can relax at a beautiful beach or stop for lunch at an ocean-view local restaurant with a swimming pool. Beach chairs are available at both locations. Just kick back and soak in the natural beauty and the views of the aqua blue water or stroll the powdery white, soft sand along the beach. For an additional price, food and beverages are available. Time allows you can enjoy the beach for between 1 - 2 hours.

At the end of your Roatan Relaxed Drift Snorkel, Monkey and Sloth Hangout, and Beach Excursion, your transportation will return you to your Roatan cruise ship port.

Excursion Notes

• We recommend you bring along biodegradable sunblock, swimsuit, towel, camera, change of clothes, and cash for the balance payment of excursion, food or drinks, souvenirs, tips, etc.
  
• Your beach break can be at Las Palmas beach club or a local ocean-view restaurant, this will be determined by the local vendor on-site.

Where we meet

For this Roatan Relaxed Drift Snorkel, Monkey and Sloth Hangout, and Beach Excursion, you will meet outside your Roatan cruise terminal (Coxen Hole and Port of Roatan Mahogany Bay). All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

Excursion Restrictions

• This Roatan Relaxed Drift Snorkel, Monkey and Sloth Hangout, and Beach Excursion is not allowed for guests with limited mobility.
  
• The minimum participation age is 6 years old.
  
• Guests must know how to swim and be comfortable in the water.
  
• People under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or similar substances that may prevent safe enjoyment, are not allowed to participate.
  
• Guests must be able to step in and out of the snorkel excursion boat from the pier.
• Guests wishing to snorkel or swim must be able to pull themselves from the water using the boat ladder.
  

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
• Your ship skips/misses the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
  
• Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
