You will meet your snorkel shore excursion guide outside your Roatan cruise port and board your air-conditioned transportation. Enjoy the scenic 25-minute drive to the Cordelia Banks. Dubbed The Jewel of the Caribbean by marine scientists, Cordelia Banks has also been named the first Site of Wildlife Importance by the Honduran government. This is your lucky opportunity to take in the beauty and see why it earned these titles.

Unlike many areas of the Caribbean, this reef system is extremely healthy. It has a huge abundance of critically endangered Staghorn Coral. You might also see some of the large schools of groupers, and snappers, and if you are lucky, you might be able to spot gray reef sharks from a safe distance far below you! Your guide will provide you with your gear, and show you how to use it before leading you in the water for a 1-hour breathtaking adventure. It is important to remember to bring your eco-friendly sunscreen as this is a protected area and you will not want to damage the coral by applying the usual sunscreen. The snorkeling is done directly from the boat and guests will not be able to touch bottom - please read over the restrictions before booking this Roatan snorkeling cruise excursion.

After your snorkel, your crew will provide you with some snacks created with delicious local fare, including ceviche and seasonal fruits. Take in the stunning view of the island on your ride back to the dock, where you will board your transportation for the return trip to your Roatan cruise ship port.

Excursion Notes

• We recommend you bring along biodegradable sunblock, swimsuit, towel, camera, change of clothes and cash for balance payment of excursion, food or drinks, souvenirs, tips, etc.
  

Where we meet

Excursion Restrictions

• This excursion is not allowed for guests with limited mobility.
• Guests must know how to swim and be comfortable in the water.
• People under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or similar substances that may prevent safe enjoyment, are not allowed to participate.
• Guests must be able to step in and out of the snorkel excursion boat from the pier.
• Guests wishing to snorkel or swim must be able to pull themselves from the water using the boat ladder.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
• Your ship misses/skips the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
  
• Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
