Roatan is an adventurers' paradise! On this Roatan Excursion, you'll see the best of the island. You'll ride through the city and learn about its history and culture, then you'll visit the monkey and sloth sanctuary. Then it would be time to snorkel and to end your day you'll be relaxing at Bananarama beach.

You will meet your professional, English-speaking shore excursion guide outside your Roatan cruise terminal where you will board your comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle to begin your excursion. As you wind through the city, your guide will share the bits of history and rich culture of this treasured island. You can take advantage of the spectacular 360-degree views of land and sea at the photo stop along the way.

A special treat awaits you at the Monkey and Sloth Sanctuary Park. Here you will get to hold, pet, and photograph these unique creatures as you learn about the various wildlife calling Roatan home. The adventure continues as you board the boat for the short ride out to the reef where an abundance of colorful sea life awaits. You will be fitted with safe and sanitized snorkel gear before the guide assists you into the water for a guided snorkel. For about 60 minutes you'll admire the underwater creatures just below the surface.

Following your guided snorkeling experience you will enjoy the white sands of West End Beach. Here you can enjoy the tranquil, warm turquoise water or simply soak in the sun on the beach. Beach chairs, fresh water showers, changing rooms, and restrooms are all available for your use. 

Upon the completion of your Roatan excursion, you will be returned to your Roatan cruise ship terminal.

Excursion Notes

• We recommend you bring along biodegradable sunblock, swimsuit, towel, camera, change of clothes, and cash for the balance payment of excursion, food or drinks, souvenirs, tips, etc.
  

Where we meet

For this Roatan City Highlights, Monkey and Sloths, Snorkel, and Beach Excursion, you will meet just outside your Roatan cruise terminal (Coxen Hole and Port of Roatan Mahogany Bay). All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

Excursion Restrictions

• The minimum participation age is 5 years old. 
  
• The minimum age for snorkeling is 8 years old.
• All underage children must be accompanied by an adult, guardian, or parent.
• People under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or similar substances that may prevent safe enjoyment, are not allowed to participate.
• Guests wishing to snorkel or swim must be able to pull themselves from the water using the boat ladder.
  

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
• Your ship skips/misses the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
  
• Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
