Once your cruise ship has docked in Roatan you will meet your guide at a convenient location right outside of your Roatan pier. Board your comfortable transportation and enjoy the quick 15-minute drive south to French Cay. You may choose to bring along your snorkel equipment or you will be fitted with gear upon your arrival.

Once aboard your comfortable 30-foot boat, you will only have a short ride to the snorkel location, French Cay is known for its fantastic visibility. Depending on the weather, you will be brought to one of the following locations: French Cay Marine Park, Coco View Reef Wall, Prince Albert Shipwreck, or Big French Cay. The captain will make the decision. Your snorkeling crew will show you how to use your equipment and assist you into the water for a great guided snorkel. They will take you over the best spots and point out the sea life along the way. Note that snorkeling is from the boat, not the shore so you will not be able to stand up in the water. Bottle water is available on the boat.

All of the locations are equally stunning, full of various marine life and coral formations. You will have 1 to 1.5 hours of guided snorkeling, giving you ample time to explore the area. Hard corals, black coral, sponges of all kinds, and gorgonian decorated the walls of the Reef Wall. Keep your eyes open for seahorses, juvenile spotted drums, anemones, fire worms, and lionfish at French Cay Marine Park! Keep an eye out for the blue for passing harmless Spotted Eagle Rays!

After your snorkel adventure has come to an end you will be assisted back aboard your boat and brought to the northeast shore of the island. You will spend an hour at the beach, the location has services such as restaurants, bars, tables, and lounge chairs to relax at, not to mention the spectacular beach to enjoy! You may choose to make food and drink purchases.

At the end of your excursion, you will be brought back to your transportation and returned directly to your Roatan cruise ship pier. Fins up for this excellent snorkel adventure!

Excursion Notes

• We recommend you bring along biodegradable sunblock, swimsuit, towel, camera, change of clothes, and cash for the balance payment of excursion, food or drinks, souvenirs, tips, etc.
  

Where we meet

For this Roatan South Side Snorkel Excursion, you will meet outside your Roatan cruise terminal (Coxen Hole and Port of Roatan Mahogany Bay). All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

Excursion Restrictions

• This excursion is not allowed for guests with limited mobility.
• All underage children must be accompanied by an adult, guardian, or parent.
• Guests must know how to swim and be comfortable in the water.
• People under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or similar substances that may prevent safe enjoyment, are not allowed to participate.
• Guests must be able to step in and out of the boat from the pier.
• Guests wishing to snorkel or swim must be able to pull themselves from the water using the boat ladder.
• This Roatan South Side Snorkel and Beach Break Excursion may involve risks. We suggest you check with your elected person of choice to see if these possible risks might affect you.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
• Your ship skips/misses the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
  
• Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
