This is the perfect adventure shore excursion in Roatan for those looking for some fun and adventure on your cruise stop in Honduras - amazing views of the island and a tour of the Garifuna village.
You'll meet your friendly shore excursion guide just outside your Roatan cruise ship port where you'll board your comfortable transportation for the short ride to the ATV base camp. The ATVs have automatic transmissions and are easy to drive as a beginner or advanced rider. Your guide will give you a briefing on safety instructions and how to maneuver your ATV, before heading off on your guided adventure. A safety helmet is provided and must be worn at all times.
Your Roatan ATV excursion will take you through the lush jungle countryside and you'll be able to glimpse the wildlife that makes this island its home. Enjoy the views of the ocean while driving on dirt roads and over streams. Complimentary bottled water will be provided during your excursion.
While on your ATV shore excursion in Roatan, you will make a stop in Punta Gorda Village, on the eastern side of Roatan. In the late 1700s, the Garifuna arrived here from St. Vincent and established a community. A beautiful part of the multi-ethnic culture here in Roatan is the Garifunas. They retain much of their original African culture and spiritual practices; and offer an authentic live glimpse into 18th Century African folklore and traditions. Their rich culture and history are still very present to this day.
Your Roatan ATV adventure excursion ends back at the base camp where board your transportation for the return trip to your Roatan cruise ship terminal.
Where we meet
For this Roatan ATV Jungle Adventure Excursion, you will meet right outside your Roatan Mahogany Bay or Coxen Hole cruise ship pier in Honduras. All the necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.
Cancellation
For the Roatan ATV Jungle Adventure Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.
For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:
- Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
- Your ship skips/misses the port.
- Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
- A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
- Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
- Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
