You'll meet your friendly shore excursion guide just outside your Roatan cruise ship port where you'll board your comfortable transportation for the short ride to the ATV base camp to start the first part of your day. The ATVs have automatic transmissions and are easy to drive as a beginner or advanced rider. Your guide will give you a briefing on safety instructions and how to maneuver your ATV and a safety helmet is provided and must be worn at all times.

Your Roatan ATV excursion will take you through the lush jungle countryside and you'll be able to glimpse the wildlife that makes this island its home. Enjoy the views of the ocean while driving on dirt roads and over streams. Complimentary bottled water will be provided during your ride.

Next in your itinerary, you will make a stop in Punta Gorda Village, on the eastern side of Roatan. A beautiful part of the multi-ethnic culture here in Roatan is the Garifunas. They retain much of their original African culture and spiritual practices and offer an authentic live glimpse into 18th-century African folklore and traditions. Here you will be offered a home delicacy -empanada- and a complimentary beverage!

To complete your experience in the beautiful Roatan, your excursion continues at "Las Palmas" beach, a well-maintained beach area, not so crowded where you can rest and cool down from the heat. A delicious drink will be served for you in a hollowed-out pineapple! There is also a restaurant available to purchase extra food and drinks, massage service at extra cost, and lounge chairs and umbrellas for your use (first come first served!) 

At the end of your beach break time, you will jump back into your air conditioned bus for the return trip to your Roatan cruise ship terminal." Las Palmas Beach" is only 10 minutes away via taxi from your cruise ship terminal, so you are more than welcome to stay as long as you want and take a taxi at your own expense back to the cruise terminal when you are ready.

Where we meet

For this Roatan ATV Jungle Adventure and Beach Break Excursion, you will meet right outside your Roatan Mahogany Bay or Coxen Hole cruise ship pier in Honduras. All the necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

Excursion Restrictions

• This Roatan ATV Jungle Adventure and Beach Break Excursion is not suitable for guests with limited mobility.
• The minimum age to drive alone is 15 years.
• A valid driver's license is not required.
• This excursion in Roatan is not suitable for pregnant guests.
  
• This all-terrain vehicle excursion is not suitable for guests with back/neck problems or recent surgeries.
• Please note that all participants from 0 to 9 years old will be on the ATV's as a passenger with a paying adult.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
• Your ship skips/misses the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
  
• Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
