It's time to get off the beaten path and experience the true beauty of Cozumel on an exciting and informative off-road adventure! Jungle Jeep driving, cenote swim, guided snorkel, and much more!

Begin your Cozumel Jeep and Caverns Excursion when you meet your guide at a location near your cruise port in Cozumel. Once you receive your instructions, get behind the Jeep wheel and follow your guide south down the island road caravan-style to El Cedral, the oldest town on Cozumel. Please note they are shared, 4-person vehicles. There is an option to pay a VIP charge and have the Jeep all to yourselves (please see the pricing list). The drive is smooth on paved roads. Learn the history of the town as well as the Mayan culture. This quaint village has existed since the Mayans and Spanish and continues to thrive today. In addition to the approximately 140 homes inhabited, the oldest church on the island ( still active) and a tiny Mayan ruin are located here.

Next, it is time to go off-roading through the lush, green jungle to Jade Cavern where you will swim in the fresh waters of the Chempita Cenote if water conditions allow. Your shore excursion guide will lead you down the dirt trails - be prepared to get dirty, may be muddy, and ready for fun. If you're not familiar with cenotes, they are deep water pools that form sinkholes as a result of water seeping up through the limestone soil over thousands of years. And the water is generally quite chilly but refreshing. At the Chempita Cenote, you can jump in from a platform or for the more adventurous, from a 20-foot cliff! Or you can watch from the banks. You will have approximately 30 minutes at the cenote. Note that these are not swimming pools but natural water holes - there will be leaves and other natural debris. Your Jungle Jeep excursion driving time is approximately 30-40 minutes.

After getting back into your Jeep and returning to El Cedral, you will have a brief tequila tour of the village and you will learn the history and the process of making tequila. Of course, you will have the opportunity to sample some of the many available flavors.

Then it's off to Palmar Beach Club and Dzul Ha Reef, where you will experience a guided snorkeling tour. The guide will pass out your snorkeling gear, show you how to use it if needed and assist you into the water from the shore. The waters of Cozumel are crystal clear and shades of blue you can only imagine! Below the surface is a host of marine life for you to see. It will be difficult to capture this experience in words, so bring your underwater camera to take photos to share with your friends and family. Your snorkeling time will be approximately 30-45 minutes.

After your snorkeling excursion, you will be taken back to your meeting point near your cruise port. However, if you wish to extend your experience, you are welcome to remain at the beach club and return to your Cozumel cruise port at your own expense. Either way, you will have had a truly memorable day on the Island of the Swallows!

Aside from us having a bit of trouble finding the location, the excursion was great. Cathy was a great guide. We went to a tequila farm, black coral shop, cave and snorkling and the whole trip was memorable. Cathy knew a lot of history about the island and kept our little one entertained the whole time. Would highly recommend.

We could not have had a better tour guide in Cozumel than Kathy. I would give ten stars if I could! Having someone who lives local and loves where she lives makes learning about the area so special. Traveling around the island, we learned so much about the area and the locals. Our tequila tasting at a small tequila museum was very informative! Who knew that "good tequila" tastes so different than what we buy at home. Quite delicious for sipping. My husband isn't a tequila lover but he actually bought a bottle for himself also. Our next stop was the Jade Cavern Cenote Swim. The water was a beautiful color and the bats flying around the top of the cavern was fun to watch. We weren't brave enough to jump from above but we got to watch some others do it! The water was very cool and refreshing. Finally we were taken to Tortugas Beach Club resort where we were provided with snorkeling gear and we even got a handful of tortillas that brought the fish VERY CLOSE! Overall it was a spectacular day!!!!

Just returning from our vacation journey and took this tour with my family of 4 members. The guide was super friendly and he was at the designed meeting location ahead of time as we arrived about 10 minutes earlier and he was right on the place waiting for us. We requested an automatic vehicle and that is what they provided. (thumbs up for fulfilling our request) We visited the old town of El central and learn about Mayan history, culture, and customs, then we entered the jungle to visit the jade cavern. (sink hold with green water) The site was in the middle of the jungle and we like to visit, but none of us wanted to get inside of the cavern. We were taken to a nice beach club with a restaurant available and shaded areas. We meet our snorkel guide and we get ready to get in the water. The snorkel guide was very professional and he gave us instructions beforehand, and he took good care of us. At the end of our activity, we went back to the beach club to clean ourselves and we were taken back to the meeting location. We had the opportunity to take pictures and have drinks at our expenses. Everything was as described on the excursion webpage.

We had a party of 14 and we all had a great time. Danny and the guide (sorry, forgot his name) were excellent. The Jeeps were in excellent condition and safe. Loved the drive to the cavern, the tequila factory, and the beach. Danny and guide were professional and the tour was well organized. Thank you so much for a great experience!

Our guides were Lalo and Daniel. They were friendly and helpful. My wife is disabled and these young men took the time to make sure she could see and was comfortable. We recommend this tour highly!!

I have used SE before and so I am a returning Customer. Trust builds trust! To coin a Scottish phrase, "it's like being a bairn in a sweetie shop"; but for cruise excursions. Translation is a child in a candy shop!!!
