You get to customize your trip on the famous "First Lady" so you can mix and match, and choose the activities that suit your interests best. There is plenty of space and room on the perfectly maintained, 29 ft boat so you and your family or friend up to 10 others in your private group can join in the fun. Your private charter shore excursion starts just a short taxi ride from your cruise ship pier in Cozumel to the private marina where your captain and crew will be waiting for you. You and your private shore excursion group will board and get ready for the exciting day ahead.
An example of a standard trip would be first snorkeling at one of the best snorkel spots inside Cozumel's Marine Park according to our knowledgeable local captain (all gear and guide provided, easy ladders to get in and out of the water). The crew will assist you with the gear and help everyone into the water before leading them on a guided snorkel, pointing out some of the marine life along the way. Note that snorkeling is from the boat and guests will not be able to touch the bottom - the depth is approximately 15 to 25 ft (4.5 to 7.6 meters). Guests will use a comfortable snorkel boat ladder to enter and exit the water.
You would then continue to the famous "El Cielo" sandbar is located in a protected cove area that is only accessible by water. It is known for the starfish that may be spotted on the white sandy bottom of the cove. But remember, look but do not touch! The captain sets the anchor and you are free to jump into the knee-deep and crystal-clear water. Enjoy the music, snacks, and lunch (Guacamole with chips, fresh fruit, fish ceviche, grilled fish and shrimp, fish and shrimp quesadillas and tacos, Mexican salsas!) as well as ice cold drinks (Bottled water, Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola Light, sprite, and juices. Alcoholic drinks include Tecate Light and Corona beers, Captain Morgan Rum, Tequila, and mixed drinks such as Cuba Libre, Margarita, etc.), wade ashore, and go for a stroll on the virgin beaches, snorkel the coral heads, relax....the boat all yours. The "First Lady" is equipped with a full stand-up marine toilet for complete privacy.
If you choose (optional and free of charge), the captain can take you a bit further south past El Cielo, a few minutes "around the corner" to Punta Sur where you can drop some fishing lines in the water for a fun bottom fishing adventure! Bottom fishing is suitable for young and old alike, experienced or novice. All fishing equipment is included and this crew won 1st place at the 2023 International Fishing Tournament in Cozumel, so you know you are with the best! They take their fishing seriously and will give all guests a helping hand with the gear and fishing experience. All fishing gear including rods, reels, live bait, and lures are included as well as fishing licenses.
At the end of your private Cozumel boat charter excursion, the captain will take you back to the private marina where you will catch a taxi back to your Cozumel cruise ship pier or off to explore the island more.
Where we meet
For the Cozumel Private Snorkel and El Cielo Sandbar Excursion, your meeting location is just a 5-minute taxi ride away from Puerta Maya and International Pier (SSA), or a 10-minute taxi ride from Punta Langosta downtown. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.
Cancellation
For the Cozumel Private First Lady Boat Charter Excursion - Secluded Marine Park Snorkel and El Cielo Sandbar (w/ optional fishing), we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.
For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:
- Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
- Your ship skips/misses the port.
- Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
- A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
- Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
- Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
