During your time onshore at Amber Cove, you can visit the spectacular Damajagua Waterfalls and try some zip lines along with a delicious Dominican lunch.

You'll meet your excursion guide just outside your Amber Cove cruise ship dock approximately 10 minutes from your ship. From here you'll be driven in your transportation approximately 20 minutes to the Damajagua Waterfalls. To view the falls you'll need to hike about 20 minutes up through the lush rainforest to the Cascades. Damajagua has 27 spectacular falls and carved by nature in the limestone are amazing pools, stalactites, and stalagmites in a rainbow of colors, you'll be able to experience, hands-on, 7 of them. Cool off on your way back down by swimming, jumping off ledges into the water, and sliding down the refreshing crystal waters of the falls. You'll spend approximately 2 hours at the waterfalls.

Your next stop is at the Country World Adventure Park where you'll enjoy a local homemade lunch of rice, beans, chicken or beef, fried sweet potatoes and yucca, vegetables, tropical fruits, and more. Then is time to fly through the air on 3 zip lines, an estimate of 30 - 40 minutes for the full route. There's a safety briefing to start and you'll be given a bottle of water that attaches to your harness so you can refresh during your adventure. Admire the park from a birds-eye view on more than 2000 feet of galvanized steel cable. Feel the thrill on the 3 ACCT-certified lines and relax on the ride. At the first platform, the guide will clip your harness onto the line, and off you go, zipping over the trees as gravity takes you over to the next platform. Your other guide will unclip you and the process continue from platform to platform.

At the end of this amazing day, you'll be returned to your Amber Cove cruise terminal. Make the most of your cruise ship stop in Amber Cove by experiencing breathtaking waterfalls and exhilarating zip lines.

Excursion Notes

• We suggest you wear comfortable clothing and sports sandals or sturdy walking shoes that can get wet.
• The park rents water shoes for $2.00 USD on a first-come, first-serve basis.
• Lockers are available for rent at the Zipline park (depending on the size of the locker, the cost is $4.00 or $5.00 USD per locker).
  
• Bring sun protection, a camera, cash for balance payment, tips, shopping, etc.
  
• Please note that depending on the group size is the type of transportation. If the group is small, the transportation can be air-conditioned if not, then the operator would use a safari-type bus.
• Please pay attention to the restrictions and requirements for this excursion, no refund will be granted if the requirements are not met.

Where we meet

For this Amber Cove 7 Damajagua Waterfalls and Zipline Excursion with Lunch, you will meet outside your Amber Cove cruise ship terminal. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

Excursion Restrictions

• Maximum weight per participant is 260lbs (118Kg).
• Maximum hip/waist 44in. (110 cm) and maximum leg size 31in (80cm).
• Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times.
• Due to the activity level of this excursion, participants must be in good physical condition.
• This excursion is not suitable for pregnant women or guests with back or neck injuries.
• You will be required to sign a liability release and assumption of risk document.
• The minimum participation age is 8 years old.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
• Your ship misses/skips the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
  
• Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
