You'll meet your guide outside your Taino Bay cruise ship terminal and your transportation will get you to the Country World Adventure Park in the nearby town of Maimon located approximately 20 to 25 minutes away. Sit back and enjoy the ride before your adventure begins.

Once you arrive at the park, you can choose from the 4 activities while there. There's a schedule to follow if you choose to do all 4, in order to get them all in.

ATV
The ATV 4-wheel guided ride gets you off-road where you'll be driving in the foothills of the Isabel de Torres mountains. Here you can see the daily lives of the Dominicans and the rich countryside. You can choose to ride single or double before your guide leads you along the trails.

ZipLine
There are 8 ACCT-certified zip lines that let you see the country from a different perspective as you fly through the air. The lines include over 7,900 feet of double, galvanized steel cable and are of various lengths and heights. Beginners and experts alike will enjoy hands-free braking. The guides will do that for you, unlike other zip lines where you have to use your gloved hand as a brake. You'll have panoramic views of the park and the sparkling ocean below.

Horseback Ride
You can ride on horseback through the Dominican countryside and rolling foothills. The ride is designed for beginners and experts. New riders and children will be given thorough instructions before setting off. The expert guides will match your riding skills to your horse so that you can feel comfortable while riding and enjoy the beautiful country without worry.

Swimming
Bring your swimsuit to enjoy a refreshing swim in the pool. The last zip line lets you choose to end in the water if you do that activity. There is a kiddies pool and lifejackets are available for non-swimmers so you can still get wet. A pool bar is available to purchase a cool drink as well. In the beautiful gardens, you can learn about the fruits and plants growing there and maybe spot some of the rescued animals that call the park home. In the park, you will also enjoy some local home-cooked dishes of rice, beans, chicken or beef, fried sweet potatoes and yucca, vegetables, tropical fruits, and more. Yum!

Following your meal, you can enjoy the sights again as you travel back to your Taino Bay cruise port.

Excursion Notes

• Walking/hiking shoes are mandatory (no high heels, sandals, or flip-flops).
• We recommend you to wear comfortable clothes and long pants, bring a swimsuit, sun protection, insect repellent, towel, change of clothes, cash for souvenirs, tips, etc.
  
• Lockers are available for rent (depending on the size of the locker, the cost is $4.00 - $5.00 USD per locker).
  
• Children must be paired with their parents/guardians in some of the activities.

Where we meet

For this Taino Bay ATV, Zipline, and Horseback Riding Adventure Park VIP Excursion, you will meet your guide outside your Puerto Plata cruise ship terminal. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

Excursion Restrictions

• Guests will be weighed on-site. Those who are overweight will not be allowed to participate in the activities and will lose all money paid. All others in the group must give 48 hours prior notice to cancel and must pay the balance.
• The maximum weight for horseback and ziplines per participant is 260 lbs (118 kg).
• Maximum hip/waist 44in. (110 cm) and maximum leg size of 31in (80cm) for the zipline.
• The maximum weight per ATV is 350lb (160kg).
• All ATV drivers must present their valid driver's license; if not, they may only be a passenger.
• The minimum age to drive an ATV is 18 years old. Minors can drive as passengers. 
• Children can ride the horse solo only if they can sit on their own and be confident with the horse and guide. A guide will lead the horse at all times.
• Children may ride the horse with a parent only if their combined weight is under 260 lbs (118 kg).
• Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times.
• Due to the activity level of this excursion, participants must be in good physical condition.
• This Taino Bay ATV, Zipline, and Horseback Riding Adventure Park VIP Excursion is not suitable for pregnant women or guests with back or neck injuries.
• You will be required to sign a liability release and assumption of risk document.
• This Taino Bay ATV, Zipline, and Horseback Riding Adventure Park Excursion with Lunch may involve risks. We suggest you check with your elected person of choice to see if these possible risks might affect you.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
• Your ship misses/skips the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
  
• Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
