If you want your cruise stop to include some excitement, we have the excursion for you in Taino Bay Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. Interact with the natural side of Taino Bay meeting their incredible fauna, and enjoy a relaxing horseback riding time!
You'll meet your guide after a short 10-minute walk outside of your Taino Bay cruise terminal. You'll be driven to the nearby adventure park in air-conditioned comfort; the drive is about 10 minutes away from Taino Bay in Maim, a small town situated in the mountains between 4 rivers. When you arrive at Adventure Park there will be a meet and greet in the country house bar. Next, you’ll have the opportunity to try and/or purchase authentic coffee, chocolate and/or cigars!
Next, you will head to the Adventure Park and get you geared up for a countryside horseback ride! Experience a mix out of nature, culture, and adventure as you journey through the Dominican Republic’s rich landscape. Whether you’re a first-time or frequent rider, your expert guides will find the right horse matching your skills! If you’re still up for more, your expert guides will take you on a short walk through the tropical garden, where you can meet Macaws, Cockatoos, African Greys, Toucans and more!
Back at the country house, you'll be treated to a typical home-cooked Dominican-style lunch of rice, beans, chicken or beef, fried sweet potatoes and yucca, vegetables, tropical fruits, and more. The park has a variety of indigenous animals and birds to see as well.
After this amazing adventure shore excursion in Taino Bay, your transportation will return you to your Taino Bay cruise ship terminal.
Where we meet
For this Taino Bay Squirrel Monkey Encounter and Horseback Riding Excursion , you will meet outside your Taino Bay cruise ship terminal. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.
Cancellation
For the Taino Bay Squirrel Monkey Encounter and Horseback Riding Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.
For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:
- Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
- Your ship skips/misses the port.
- Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
- A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
- Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
- Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
