When it comes to Belize Cave Tubing Excursions, there are certainly more than a few available to choose from. Naturally, we have chosen the best and safest of them. It is a true discovery of the ancient Underworld of the Maya, a unique place where sacred rituals were once carried out.

Your friendly and helpful cave tube tour guide will take you to see the mysterious caves, as you pass through the tropical rainforest and tube down the adventurous river. Please note that the walk to the cave tubing starting point is approximately 25 minutes. These caves are known as the home of many Mayan Gods. The water is refreshing and you won't be able to help yourself from relaxing as you float slowly downstream. Get up close to the astounding cave formations that were formed before man was around. You will go float through 3 caves.

After your Belize cave tubing shore excursion or tour, you will have worked up an appetite and you are in luck. Okay so first off, ALFREDO AND ROBERTO ARE AWESOME. very easy to find him right off the pier. They are so friendly and funny, it was an hour to the caves.. but Roberto kept us entertained telling us fun facts about Belize. The driving in this county is a bit crazy so hang on. When we got to the caves, we realized that this is the same exact thing Carnival does but this excursion thru Roberto was cheaper, and why not support a good local company! We never felt unsafe or worried about anything. W head a group of 13 in our group (including our 6 and 4 year old) The experience was amazing and these men worked so hard insuring we had a great time! The was a little long but they took breaks along the way. The lunch was great, chicken, rice and beans and that Cole slaw was amazing! Lunch with served with a soda which we got Coke in a glass bottle! They made sure we got back on time and knew ship time! Please if you’re considering get this excursion.

Luis was our guide. He waited for us at the terminal, and was VERY helpful and knowledgeable. Luckily the two of us had him to ourselves with private transportation and tubing. (There is an option for water shoes similar to crocs) Luis also took plenty of GREAT pictures. Lunch was great we ate and rode with a group back to the terminal. The ride each way was about an hour,still had enough time to shop and catch the ferry back! Don't be alarmed with the local riding, just HANG ON LOL! Very affordable with the experience I will definitely be back.

Junior, Junior the driver, Roberto, and Rosa were so good. We had 4 small children in our group that are 6x2, 7, & 9 and were taken care of like family. We had a large group of a total of 19 people and they treated us like family. Food was good. Gave lots of information along the drive about Belize. I cannot say enough good things about this excursion. Left our personal items in the mini bus and everything was safe. Mini bus was good and cold and got us back in time to do a little shopping before we got back on the tinder ship with time to spare.

This was a fantastic excursion, we had the best time. Our tour guide Nelson was phenomenal and that’s still an understatement. He made us feel so welcome and comfortable the entire time, he told us all about Belize and took us on a wonderful tubing experience. So be sure to try this experience and ask for Nelson! I also loved how the company called and confirmed our trip before we even got on the ship.

Luis was waiting for us at the cruise terminal(as specified). He was an excellent driver for the day. Marco was our guide, and he was very knowledgeable. He was an excellent guide for the tubing also, and we felt safe. The only downside for us was the long wait while some did the zip line (over an hour). It made lunch late and we had to eat in the car on the way back. I would do it again with this company in a heartbeat.

This experience was absolutely refreshing, interesting, and fun! Our tour guide Roberto was very knowledgeable and excellent social skills. He kept us laughing the entire trip, showed us great hospitality, and was able to answer all our questions. The driver Luis was an excellent driver, no issues on the road. The 25-minute hike was very fun as we didn’t have to worry about carrying our tubes because they were waiting for us at the river. [all other companies require you to hike with your tube and carry your own tube up the path]. Roberto provided us with interesting facts and information about the vegetation and animals around the area during our hike along with funny jokes. Our group was very small which made for a great personal experience. The Belizean lunch was absolutely delicious, warm, and ready upon our arrival! We were dropped off back at the port with plenty of time for shopping. Would definitely recommend it to everyone of all ages.

Worth the Trip!

The long round trip from the cruise port and hike through the jungle were worth the trip! The float through the cave was a fun and unique experience, and our guide, Marco (Polo) was super knowledgeable. We went during the rainy season, so the river was up some and the water wasn't as clear, so if that is an issue with you, book accordingly. Be prepared for a long hike through the jungle and to wade through the river. This isn't a casual stroll, but a real hike (although the terrain is fairly flat). Our guide kept up a fast pace, so be sure you have the stamina to keep up! The only issue I had with the tour was that it was described as a float through three caves, but we only went through one. They also said there would be rum punch during lunch, but there wasn't that either. Still, it was a great experience.

Jr and Rooster from XxXx were the most amazing tour guides for our group of 11! So friendly, professional, and experienced. They were ready near by the port when we arrived, took a nice air conditioned van about 1hour to the destination. On the way there we were informed on the local people and culture. Once we arrived we put on our gear and started our walk. The best part is that we thankfully did not have to walk with our tubes like others had to do. The walk was not too difficult, we crossed the river 3 times and at some points it was about waist deep with a smallest current. But we were able to get across fairly quick. Also along the way they informed us on the plants and animals for the forest. During our cave tubing they both pulled all 11 of us along the caves which I truly appreciate and admire. The tour was absolutely beautiful!!! After we had a delicious lunch and even our picky eaters enjoyed. We arrived pack at the port with plenty of time to spare. We felt so well taken care of I highly recommend this excursion!!! 10/10

Cave Tubing with Lunch

I just wanted to share our experience on our excursion in Belize. We chose to do cave tubing because we heard it was very popular. We looked at several companies and finally decided to book through shoreexcursioneer with XxXx. They were super easy to find right off the pier. We never felt like we were in danger at all. Our guides Jr. and Rooster could not have been any better. There was a decent hike to get to the cave. We had 12 people in our group. My parents who were in their 70’s, and 5 children. Rooster made sure to help my parents with anything they needed and was so kind to them. He was patient crossing the river. There was no rush on anything. He would be helping them before they could even ask. He made the hike interesting for the kids, teaching them about different leaves and trees and wildlife in the forest. Not one person in the group had a complaint. Furthermore, other groups who booked through carnival or other companies had to carry their tubes. We did not. Our tubes were also better quality than other groups. We had bottoms and backs on our tubes. We also got to tube down the river farther than other groups making our walk back much less. It was 10/10. We could not have been happier. Rooster taught us so much and Jr was an excellent driver. We also had lunch after! Even the kids ate it! It was amazing! With bottled coke, which is always a nice treat. I highly recommend this group! I hope you get Rooster if you do!

This was so fun and informative! Our guides Carlos and Rajulio we're amazing! It's an hour drive from the cruise port but Carlos made it fly by. We learned a lot about the Mayan and Spanish culture during the ride. Once we got to the park it was a bit of a hike but as soon as you get in the tube and head in the cave it is all worth it! The caves speak for themselves but Carlos and Rajulio showed us all the amazing details and the cool natural formations. Definitely worth the money. We tubed further than any of the other tour companies. Once finished tubing it's just a short walk to the van and a quick ride to eat a local fresh and delicious lunch. Best food we had since leaving New Orleans to go on the cruise. Carlos and Rajulio had lots of knowledge and even a great sense of humor. Highly recommend and will definitely do this again!

Nice Experience

I wanted to do something different as a septugenarian I wanted to branch out a little. This hit the ticket. It was a 35 minute walk through the jungle area carrying your tube as well as wading through two areas of the water. Knee high or butt high. For me the water covered my bottom. But I made it easily. We then hit the cave and sat in our tubes which were strung together and we were guided through the cave by our wonderful guide who pointed out various cave features.Flowing through the cave and down the river to the end was very nice. We returned our tubes at the starting point (we did not need to hike back) . After changing out of our wet clothes in a changing room traveled back to the office where we had lunch. Lunch was tasty but minimal because all that walking gave me an appetite. Everyone was friendly and i would probably go tube caving again.

This is not an easy 25 minute walk if you are over age of 30. It is on river rocks all the way and you have to cross the river 3 times. If you have a really hard time walking you may want to reconsider. With that being said! This was amazing!!! The water was so clear and cool. There was more ppl there tubing but was with their own tours. The lunch served was not the best but was good It is definitely worth it

Our family of 6 did this excursion and would rank it as one of our top favorites. We absolutely loved our tour guide Roberto and our driver, Junior. The entire experience was fantastic. The hike isn't strenuous. We had our 7 year old with us and she did fine, as did the older people on the excursion. Robert is incredibly knowledgeable and told us all about Belize, as well as showed us MANY things along the way on the hike. I'd almost pay for that by itself. The cave tubing was slow and relaxing and beautiful. Lunch was at the excursion owners home and consisted of red beans and rice and adobo chicken. Highly, highly recommend. Side note: definitely take cash as recommended, as well as bug spray.

Great excursion and great hoists Roberto and Luis

We booked the simple cave tubing and lunch directly through Shore Excursioneer and couldn't be more happy. We were on a cruise and unfortunately due to weather, our itinerary was altered and we would be docking in Belize on a completely different day. Not an issue, we were able to make contact and make all the necessary changes via email. If on a cruise you will have to tinder into port. There did not appear to be any real need to bring your phone for vaccine info or the like, just to take pics. Of course there was some apprehension as we had never been to the Belize port but all was well, basically as soon as we walked onto the main peer, Roberto and other Shore Excursioneer staff were present and easily seen since they were all wearing bright yellow, well labelled shirts. Roberto took control immediately and gathered our group as well as organized other groups to ensure everyone was on their correct transport to their excursion. Everyone was very easy to understand, of course cause Belize's primary language is English. Roberto and Luis escorted us out of the port and to the transportation which was a nice, small van, air conditioned, clean and in great condition. Well maintained vehicle with seats and seatbelts for everyone. It was a relatively short ride, about 40 mins but we had great company. Roberto was an excellent narrator, perfect english, great attitude, humor and was able to speak about his country very well. He was able to answer all the questions we had regarding his home land and more. Luis was also a very good driver and was great while we were tubing as well. You will need cash to pay for the remainder of your excursion. We were a group of four and we had another Canadian family with us for a total of 10. One small pit stop at the restaurant which would supply our lunch to put in the order and then off to the cave tubing. Once we arrived, there was a nice large washroom/change room area that was well kept. We kept our personal belongings in the locked car and had no issues. I would recommend bringing a change of clothes and some crocs or water shoes or sports sandals that can get wet is all you need. The change of clothes will make the ride back more comfortable. I would say the flip flops and bikini's would not be a good choice. My daughter just used a sport short over top her bikini bottom and was much more comfortable. The walk through the forest to the start of the cave tubing is not an issue and is really quite nice. No real issues with bugs since we kept moving. It is basically a pebble stone road so very easy to walk with some mild up hills and steps but no super slippery. There is really only one area where you go through a small path between large rocks that maybe a concern for someone elderly but most should be OK. The first challenge will be to cross the river using a rope strung across, not much of a challenge but fun since not the norm we are all used to. When we took the tour, the water level was higher and water fasting moving than normal, the cross would have been much easier under normal conditions. And no, the water is not too cold at all. Definitely not as cold as water in cenotes in Mexico for example. Walking through the forest was great with worker ants carrying leaves across the forest floor and Roberto letting some of our group try termites. He just had to reach over to a tree, let them transfer to his hand and then a couple of our group tried them - supposed to taste like mint. I stuck to the chicken offered at lunch. Roberto and Luis were great through the forest pointing lots of cool things and of course during the tubing. This tour is great because we did not have to carry up our tubes. Once we got to the start, the tubes were strapped together and off we went. As I noted, the water was higher when we went so moving a little quicker - normally it was described the tour is more like a lazy river ride not to say we were going through rapids by any means. Great tour through the caves and then down the river a bit till you reach the initial water passage we had to make using the rope and this is were we got out. Carry the tube back to the starting area, change and off for lunch. The arrival area also had a couple small shops and were selling a number of items; water shoes, towels, trinkets, water proof bags for phones (definitely a good must bring if you have one cause you will want to take photos). Lunch was good and we basically ate in the van on the way back - fresh chicken, rice and coleslaw. The rice and chicken were great and authentic. I would replace the coleslaw with something authentic as well such as plantains, etc... All in all, we had a great visit with great care takers, it this was a great choice instead of simply heading for a beach. I would recommend for anyone and would do again.

The excursion meeting place was right off the port. We checked in with them and they gave us extra time to grab drinks before the tour. Jrand Jr were our tour guides and they're friendly, funny, and very informative in a super fun way. They're also going to pack in as much fun as possible into this tour. Amazing excursion, so much fun. The food was flavorful and amazing. 5 stars

Cave tubing in Belize

Our group followed directions & got to the meeting point on time. Everyone arrived within a few minutes & we were on our way. Our guide, Roberto & driver, Junior were very nice. Once on our way, Roberto got a call from his boss saying that someone from a carnival ship had gotten to the pier late & wanted us to turn around & go get them. We pulled over while he talked with his boss and then started on our way again. Roberto said that we would not be going back to get them because they were over an hour late, they needed to be back to the pier an hour sooner than our Royal Caribbean ship, and if we got them then he would have to cut out parts of our excursion to accommodate them. A few minutes passed and Roberto got another call telling him that he had to turn around and go get them. We were already 20-25 minutes into our 1 hour ride. Arriving back at the port, Roberto was gone another 20-25 minutes looking for them. Once in the van, we were then about an hour behind schedule. To top it off, once at the managers office where we were to pay our balances the carnival couple was in disagreement with the manager on what their excursion was & how much they should pay. We waited another half hour while they argued. We were getting upset because we now knew that we werenâ€™t getting our full excursion, none of our money was being refunded, & were risking being late getting back to the ship. We spoke up and said enough. We need to get going or get a refund & get us back to our ship. The excursion itself was good but feel like we were cheated and didnâ€™t get the full experience since we wasted so much time waiting & know parts were omitted. The lunch was good. Weâ€™ve used ShoreExcursioneer many times & have never had this kind of experience so weâ€™re hoping it was an isolated incident but felt someone needs to know & check on the situation here. We should not have been made to go back for people who were over an hour late & then not where they were supposed to be once we got there. If in Belize, I would not recommend do this trip just for principal of not trusting them.

Best excursion. Love supporting local. You can tell they like their jobs. Very entertaining. Good directions for where to meet at port. Very simple. Included a good home cooked lunch. Even better, weather was not amazing, tours booked through carnival were cancelled yet we still were able to go and have fun. Went as a family of 6 with 4 kids ranging age 7-12. Definitely bring bug spray!

Great Excursion cave and river rafting

Had a wonderful time on this tour with Rooster and Junior. They provided friendly and well informed services starting from the meeting place where we were led with two other couples to a 15 person air conditioned van. Rooster gave some interesting info of Belize as we headed to the river. We had a walk to the starting point on the river and Rooster again explained different things seen in the forest.The trip down the river and through the caves was fun. Afterwards a nice sit down local lunch and return with time to spare at the port. Highly recommend this company and I am sure we will use them again.

Rooster and Junior were awesome guides. We took tour through town with lots of information. Walk through rain forest, crossed 3 water crossings. Made it to the tubes. Water was refreshing. Float through caves were amazing. Rooster was amazing, he made sure everyone was comfortable in tubes and stopped at us our phones to take pictures of us. Only 8 people in our group was great also.

This day was so much fun. The drive through town and the countryside was a tour in itself, the jungle walk; 3 shallow river crossings. Our guide stopped to point out specific trees - we tasted an allspice leaf. Then the cave itself - fascinating. After emerging, we continued down river for a mile or so -something that the ship excursion does not include - beautiful. THEN. Then - we had LUNCH!! Tasty chicken and caribbean rice, drinks. It was an awesome day - not a single glitch. I will always book with shoreexcurioneer.

Our tour through the caves and the jungle was amazing. Alfredo and Luis were fantastic guides. So much great knowledge, and they were able to share lots of stories about the surroundings and the culture. Wouldnâ€™t have missed it for the world! I highly recommend this tour. Lunch after was good as well. Be sure to take bug spray. The shoes you can rent for $3.00 are worth it. You have to wade across a river. The rental shoes are like crocs. Made it easy. Wish we could give it a 10 instead of only 5.

Wonderful one of a kind experience

We did this activity as part of our Sky Princess Cruise which docked (had to take a tender to port) at Belize City on 12/14/21. Once we got off our tender, Roberto was standing at the end of the dock wearing a bright yellow shirt and holding a sign saying CaveTubing.Bz - could not have been any easier to locate him. We were the only party doing the Cave Tubing from our ship so we got an extremely personal tour which we could not be more grateful for. Roberto walked us to the van where Junior was waiting for us with cold water bottles. We then drove about 45 minutes to the site (stopped by their office prior to getting to the caves to complete our payment - their office is conveniently located a few minutes outside the entrance of the cave tubing site) and along the way Roberto filled us with knowledge and kept us entertained, he did a wonderful job. Once at the Cave Tubing site we were able to keep our personal belongings locked up in the van and did a short ~20-25 minute walk to the caves. Junior was great and carried our tubes and along the way Roberto showed us lots of interesting things one could find in the jungle. The cave tubing experience was wonderful and we floated all the way back to where we started with Roberto and Junior guiding and navigating the caves while we just sat back and relaxed. Afterwards we went back to their office for lunch which was delicious. I highly recommend booking this activity and avoid booking a different company through the cruise line who charges double. Not only are you paying less, you are getting way more value, I know it's un-belize-able! You get to float along the river longer, you get free lunch, you get bottled water, you get a way more personal tour and guide. We cannot thank Roberto and Junior enough for taking care of us and making us feel like family. We will use this company again in the future.

Hurricane Rained Out - Zip Line Alternate

We typically cruise during hurricane season so we knew booking this excursion was a risk. Unfortunately, the caves were flooded so we were unable to go tubing. However, the company we booked with allowed us to choose other excursions. The other options were a tour of the Belize City zoo and/or zip lining this still included a lunch break. Our group opted to only do the zip lining and lunch break. Our guides were excellent, the zip lining area was secure and beautiful. Lunch was provided in a family run building. If I recall correctly they served chicken and rice. There is a small gift shop available as well. A couple that zip lined with us also chose to do the zoo tour. The animals are all local to Belize. **When booking tours in Belize, please be sure you pack insect repellent!**

awesome! rooster and junior were great, they were very informative and showed us jungle survival skills and plant identification. they were hard working and gave us a nice lunch. Highly recommend. went a little futher upstream than the "other guys" so we saw more.

Great tour, terrible owner, made to wait in a van for an hour for

First of all, this was a great tour but I knew it would be as I did this same tour eight years ago. Caves are spectacular, very relaxing floating on the tubes. Pedro was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable. Our problem with the owner started with being picked up on time for the tour and going about a block to pull over to the side of the road to wait for three people who were running late. We were told five minutes, no big deal. After fifteen minutes, we asked what the problem was and were told five minutes more. Now we are at thirty minutes sitting in a van on the side of the road and the driver still says five minutes. After an hour the driver is seen walking with six people from the dock to the van and he puts them all in the van. I asked one couple what time they were supposed to meet and she said 8:00, which is the time we were there. But they were confused because they didn't know if it was Belize time or ship time. The directions said to take the first tender, that being 7:30 as the ship docked at 7:00. They must have missed that part of the instructions. The other four people said they werenâ€™t given a time but were told anytime you get there. Really! Now the real problem is that this was a six hour excursion and our ship's last tender was at 2:30. And we spent one hour of our six in a van waiting for these people! We could not believe they made us wait for these people who were late and it was cutting into our excursion time. After our drive to the check in point, we needed to pay at the window. I asked if we were being compensated for the hour wait and the girl just laughed. I said I was serious and that shut her up. Then the owner got involved and wanted to know what the problem was. After explaining that we were made to wait for an hour for people who were late, he said that's no big deal, just enjoy the excursion. I said we will enjoy the excursion as I was on it before and knew what to expect but were not happy that one hour of our time was wasted waiting in a van. He offered to refund our money and take us back to the ship! Really! He said we had plenty of time and would make it back to the ship in time. We made it back to the dock at 2:15, plenty of time!!!

This was the most fun we had on an excursion in a long time. The first time we went to Belize our excursion was a disappointment (not thru excursioneers). A friend told us they use excursioneers and told us to try caving. I was impressed that we did not have to carry our tube ALL of the way like we would have had to do with Carnival, The crew was so helpful and didn't mind that I was a little slower than all the other people in the group. The food was so good and authentic. We learned a lot about the forest we walked thru and on the way to the tubing , the guide was so interesting telling us about Mayan history. I would definitely do this excursion again. I loved meeting Earnest and admired all his hand carvings in the stone. Everyone was so friendly. I am overweight but that didn't matter to them, they were helpful in finding me a lifevest that fit and helping me get into the tube. Go with this company in belize thru excursioneers.

The guides were fantastic! Nothing could have prepared me for how great this was. It was so tranquil & beautiful inside the caves. Our guides had us wait to start our trip down the river until it was less crowded. Well worth the few min. Wait. The water was very refreshing. There was a wreck on the way back to our ship & we sat in traffic for a long time. Our driver called the ship. They assured us that they would wait on us. They were very reassuring & helped pass the time with amusing stories & teaching us the Hx of the island. I would love to do this excursion again.

This excursion was organized from the beginning to the end. Their contact representative was at the port to greet and gather their customers. The ride to the area was approximately 1 hour, the hike to the stream was approximately 25 minutes and we spent approximately a little more than an hour tubing through at least 2 mountains of caves. Unbelievably picturesque environment and experience. The guide was extremely informative, cautious, and entertaining. After tubing we had a Belizean meal and returned to our port. It was well worth the price!!!
