Starting right outside your cruise ship pier, the guide and transportation will be waiting for you. The route will take you through the Jamaican countryside on the way to the rafting base on the Martha Brae River. The scenery along the way is interesting as you pass small towns in Jamaica and see the everyday life of the locals.

Arriving at the rafting camp, you will board one of the 85 rafts. They are constructed from 30ft long bamboo poles and seat just 2 people. You will be introduced to your river captain who will use a pole to push your raft downstream. The captain will entertain you with facts and stories of the Martha Brae and Spanish treasure hunters.

You can also try your Tarzan skills on the rope swing or take a swim in the calm waters when you stop at the end.

After the relaxation of the Martha Brae River, you will ride back to Falmouth, where your excursion guide will take you on an entertaining and informative tour through this Historic Town. Do not forget to bring your camera, there will be plenty of opportunities for photography lovers. Visiting the old Georgian Building, Water Square, the Old Port, St. Peter's Anglican Church which was built in 1796, and the old Courthouse, built in 1817. You may spend some time shopping before it's time to return to the ship.

Excursion Notes

• The minimum and the maximum number of people on a raft is 2, whether an adult or a child (example - 2 adults or 1 adult + 1 child). A child may not ride along with both parents on the same raft. Each order must be an even number of guests - 2, 4, 6, etc.
• If anyone from your group does not show up without the required prior notice, you will need to pay 20% of their balance as well (directly to the operator as a no-show penalty).
  
• This excursion requires a minimum of 4 people to run.
• Not available on Sundays

Where we meet

For this excursion you will meet your guide at your Falmouth Cruise Terminal, all necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

Excursion Restrictions

• The minimum participation age is 2 years old.
• Children must be accompanied by an adult.
• The maximum weight per raft is 550lbs (250Kg).
• This excursion is not wheelchair accessible.
  

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
• Your ship misses/skips the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
  
• Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
