This is the perfect option if you want to get away from the large cruise ship-sponsored excursions and want to see the island the way you want to.

Your private driver will greet you outside the cruise ship terminal building and get you into the air-conditioned transportation. You choose who and how many join you! It is your private 5-hour excursion. As there is no set schedule or route chosen, you may come up with a plan in mind or maybe just have the driver make suggestions.

Below are some ideas to help you make a game plan for what you might want to do and see; but it is flexible and up to you to decide. The English-speaking driver will be your guide and give you a lot of interesting and educational stories and history about Cozumel, the Mayans, Mexico, and more.

Your transportation is an air-conditioned van so you will sightsee in comfort. Below are some examples of what you can do. Note that entrance fees to some sites, parks, ruins, etc are not included and must be paid directly at the venue. This excursion is 5 hours but if you want more time, just let your guide know and the cost is approximately $50.00usd per extra hour, which is paid to him.

Sightseeing:
Cozumel Museum (Museo de la Isla), Northern Hotel Zone with golf course, downtown church, local neighborhoods or schools, Corpus Christi Church, San Gervasio Mayan Ruins, El Mirador lookout, Punta Sur Park, Chankanaab Park, El Cedral Mayan Village, Southern Hotel Zone, Hacienda Antigua, etc.
Local Restaurants:
La Choza - traditional Mexican food, La Conchita del Caribe - seafood, La Candela - traditional Mexican food, Albinos - seafood, Coconuts Bar and Restaurant - seafood and Mexican food, La Perlita - seafood, Kelly's Bar and Grill Sportsbar, and Restaurant, Rolandi's - international and Italian food, etc.
Beaches/Beach Clubs:

Excursion Notes

• The total excursion duration is flexible, the tour can be cut short at any time.
• Excursion duration is up to 5 hours, additional time is available and to be negotiated with your driver/guide.
• We suggest you have cash on hand for refreshments, excursion staff gratuities, shopping, etc.
• Not available on Sundays

Where we meet

For the Cozumel Private Island Excursion with Driver and Guide, you will meet directly across from your Cozumel cruise ship terminal (Puerta Maya, International Pier, or Punta Langosta). All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

Excursion Restrictions

• Guests must be able to climb in/out of the vehicle.
• This excursion is not wheelchair or scooter accessible.
• Depending on the sites you wish to visit, entrance fees, admissions, etc, are not included.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
• Your ship skips/misses the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
  
• Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
