This is a Nature Lovers dream...this excursion has great eco sights and highlights of Barbados. See parts of the island that most do not! Possible green monkeys, cave, tropical flowers, crashing surf and so much more.
Your 6 to 7-hour adventurous day begins just outside your Barbados cruise ship terminal where your friendly, English-speaking guide is waiting for you. They will get you checked in and aboard the transportation. As you move away from the terminal, your guide will give you a rundown of the day's plan. They will also provide loads of informative facts about the island, its history, and its background.
Your first stop will be at the Flower Forest or Hunte's Garden located in the heart of the Barbados countryside. The Flower Forest is 50 acres full of majestic palms and flowers. Or you may stroll through the paths at Hunte's Gardens that lead over the gentle hills and get a great view of all the beauty. Your group will vote on which to visit.
In harsh contrast to the soft flowers, the rugged and rocky eastern shoreline offers spectacular views. At Cattlewash and Bathseda you will be able to see just some of the beauty of the surf-carved rock formations.
A typical Bajan-style lunch will be next, before heading out again on your adventure.
You will receive a guided walk-thru through the Barbados Wildlife Reserve, so be on the lookout for Green Monkeys playing in the trees. There is a wide variety of other wildlife here as well.
The last stop on your nature wonders day is at Harrison's Cave. This is a breathtakingly beautiful, crystallized limestone cavern- a masterpiece of nature's artwork. Your unforgettable tour takes you through the winding tunnels in trams and into the specially lighted caverns where you will view the majestic stalactites and stalagmites which have been growing from the floors and ceilings for many centuries. The crystal blue waters that cascade through the caves form magnificent pools and waterfalls; there is no doubt that Harrison's Cave is an amazing spot.
Your journey comes to an end as the guide drops you off at your Barbados cruise terminal where you started. There is a minimum of 2 guests needed for this excursion.
See the best of what Mother Nature has to offer in Barbados - see Harrison Cave by tram, Flower Forrest or Hunte's Garden, Barbados Wildlife Reserve, Bathsheba, sightseeing, and lunch too!
