Come and see the world from a different perspective on the Aruba Discover Scuba Beginner Dive Excursion. There is a lot going on under the water.

You'll meet outside your Aruba cruise ship terminal and be driven about 10 minutes to the dive shop. In order to prepare for your first dive, you'll spend about 20 minutes in a theory class to learn about the techniques of diving and the equipment you'll be using. To dive safely under the water you need to understand the effects of pressure, how the dive gear works, the hand signals you'll need to use, and more.

Next, you'll put on your dive equipment and spend some time in waist-deep water practicing breathing, clearing your ears, and other vital skills. Once you're ready the instructors will take you to your dive.  The dives will be either shore or boat entry depending on the weather conditions that day. You'll dive with a maximum of 4 guests for each instructor and it will be a shallow dive of no more than 40 feet. The tank will last about 45 minutes depending on your breathing. It's now time to enjoy the coral reef and abundant marine life.

Rest assured that you will be well taken care of as safety is the number 1 priority. The expert PADI instructors take all the necessary steps to make sure everyone is safe, comfortable, and having a great experience. They will be with you at all times from start to finish.

After your dive, you can choose to enjoy the pier at the dive shop or ask to be dropped off at Surfside Beach. This popular beach has restaurants, bars, quiet surf, and a playground for families. Enjoy some good food, drinks, or the beach and it's just a 15-minute walk back to your Aruba cruise ship. Please note that food and drinks at the beach are not included in the price and if you choose to stay at the beach, the return to the cruise terminal is at your own expense and responsibility.

Once you try this beginner dive in Aruba, you'll be ready to explore more of the underwater world and its mysteries.

Excursion Notes

• Bring along a swimsuit, towel, sun protection, camera, cash for transportation, souvenirs, snacks, beverages, etc.
• Please download and print the following PADI Discover Scuba® Diving Participant Statement (PDF document) and complete it prior to participation. It is required that you bring this completed form and any other required notes or paperwork.
• Please pay attention to the restrictions and requirements for this excursion, no refund will be granted if the requirements are not met.

Where we meet

For this Aruba Discover Scuba Beginner Dive Excursion, you will meet right outside your Aruba cruise terminal. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket

Excursion Restrictions

• The minimum participation age is 10 years old for this Aruba Beginner Discover Scuba Diving Excursion.
• Guests must fill out and pass a medical waiver before being allowed on this excursion.
• Guests who are pregnant, have heart issues, history of blackouts, epilepsy, etc. are not allowed.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
• Your ship skips/misses the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
  
• Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
