From your Aruba cruise port, you'll need to take a quick 15-minute taxi ride to the small pier where your boat is docked, there your professional, English-speaking crew will be waiting. This catamaran will take you to the best snorkel sites on the island. They will take you to the Boca Catalina Bay and the Antilla shipwreck. These reefs are perfect for those who have never snorkeled before; shallow calm water and there is always plenty to see!
While sailing to your first snorkel spot, The Antilla Shipwreck, the crew will serve some delicious finger foods and cold beverages while they share some funny stories. Sit back, relax, and take in the panoramic views while on your way to your first stop.
The Antilla is the largest WWII shipwreck in the Caribbean. This 400-foot freighter sank in May of 1940. The Antilla is lying on her port side in approximately 50 feet of water, but the top of the boat just barely misses the surface! The crew will provide you with snorkel equipment and instructions.
Back on board the catamaran, the open bar will be available to you with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and, of course, great tropical music. All ingredients to guarantee you a GREAT time on board!!
There is plenty of room for everyone and there are both sunny areas to work on your tan as well as places in the shade. There is a restroom on board as well.
Up next is Boca Catalina Bay. This small bay has calm clear waters making it ideal for snorkeling and swimming. The shallow reef has a wide variety of colorful fish and corals. You might be able to see Barracudas, schools of French grunt, French angelfish, bluefin trevally, and Bermuda chub if the visibility is good. There is beautiful coral, gorgonian (soft coral), and sea fans. Don't forget your underwater camera to capture this other world.
When your cruise excursion in Aruba is completed, you may take a taxi to return to the cruise ship or continue exploring at your leisure and expense.
Where we meet
For this Aruba Catamaran Afternoon Delight Sailing and Snorkeling Excursion, you will meet at a beach located a short taxi ride from the pier. Taxis are available right outside your Aruba cruise terminal. The ride is approximately 10 minutes and the cost per taxi is approximately $11.00 USD (for 1-4 passengers). All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket. Taxi cost is not included in the listed excursion price.
Cancellation
For the Aruba Catamaran Afternoon Delight Sailing and Snorkeling Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.
For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:
- Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
- Your ship skips/misses the port.
- Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
- A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
- Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
- Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
