Hop on your electric bike and explore the history, culture, and taste of Cozumel. This one-of-a-kind excursion will get you an up-close and personal view of Cozumel.

The meeting point is a short taxi ride from your Cozumel cruise terminal where you will meet your friendly, English-speaking guide. Your guide will help you choose the correct bike for your body size, making the necessary adjustments for a perfect fit. You will also receive basic operating and safety instructions before heading out to explore downtown Cozumel.

What is great about this excursion is that the electric bike makes riding a breeze for all ages, experienced and amateur riders alike! With little peddling needed, anyone can have fun.

Once you are all set on your electric bike you will follow your guide along Rafael Melgar Avenue, the main avenue that runs along the waterfront, and then turn down into Xel Ha Avenue which leads to Corpus Christi Park and Church. Here you will have some time to explore the beautiful church.

The next stop on your journey is Benito Juarez Park, where your guide will provide a brief explanation of the park's history. You will also be treated to a freshly made popsicle at one of Cozumel's most popular ice cream and popsicle shops. Don't forget your camera on this excursion as there will be plenty of photo ops.

Up next is taco tasting at a local restaurant Taco De Guisado. Here you can enjoy 3 amazing tacos and a delicious natural Mexican drink. Choose from 9 different local tacos: Al pastor, Cochinita Pibil, Carne Asada, Shrimp, and much more!

After your tasting experience, hop back on the bike and follow the road to the waterfront. Once you reach the main avenue, you will be able to enjoy breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea while making stops at different monuments along the way such as the Chapel that overlooks the Caribbean Sea, the Pyramid replicas, planes, Diver statues, and much more!

At the end of your Cozumel excursion, you will ride back to the original meeting point and you may continue to explore or take a beach break at Sunset Beach. There is no entrance fee and you will have access to the facilities and beach, food and drinks are available at an extra cost. When you are ready you can take a taxi back to your Cozumel cruise ship terminal.

Excursion Notes

• We suggest you wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes.
  
• Bring along a small backpack with biodegradable sunblock, bug spray, a towel, cash for snacks, drinks, souvenirs, tips, etc.
  
• The excursion operates in light rain and only the operator will advise if it is canceled.
• Please pay attention to the restrictions and requirements for this excursion, no refund will be granted if the requirements are not met.
• Not available on Sundays

Where we meet

For the Cozumel Electric Bike City Highlights and Taco Tasting Excursion, you will meet at a convenient location just a 15-minute walk from the Puerta Maya or International Pier or a 10-minute taxi ride from Punta Langosta downtown pier. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

Excursion Restrictions

• The minimum participation age is 12 years old.
• The minimum height is 5ft.
• All guests must know how to ride a bike.
• The maximum weight allowed is 280 lbs (127 Kg).
• This excursion is not allowed for guests with limited mobility, or back or knee issues.
• There is a minimum of 2 guests needed for the excursion, and a maximum of 20.
• Those who are under 18 are required to have a parent/guardian sign for them.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
• Your ship skips/misses the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
  
• Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
