Start your delicious experience at the lively Municipality Market, a bustling hub of tradition and charm. Stroll through colorful stalls, chat with friendly vendors, and soak in the vibrant atmosphere. Choose two traditional tacos, whether it’s juicy carnitas, savory al pastor, or flavorful chorizo; every bite bursts with authentic taste.

Next, visit a local favorite renowned for its crispy, golden shrimp tacos, Sazón del camarón! Enjoy two perfectly breaded shrimp tacos, topped with fresh, zesty garnishes and a tangy sauce that highlights the essence of coastal Mexican cuisine.

End your journey at a famous barbacoa spot, where tender, slow-cooked meat is wrapped in warm tortillas and paired with traditional toppings at Taqueria Molina, a very well-known place for locals. Relish two rich barbacoa tacos served with a flavorful consomé, and toast the experience with an ice-cold beer, the perfect finishing touch. 

Once your flavor day comes to an end, you will take your transportation back to the meeting point to return safely to your cruise terminal or keep exploring at your leisure and expense if time allows.

Where we meet

For the Cozumel Taco Fest Excursion, you will meet at the Palmeras Restaurant (approximate taxi cost from the cruise ship terminals may go from $7-15 US for a cab of 4 people, per taxi). There are plenty of taxis available at the cruise terminals. All details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

Excursion Restrictions

• This excursion DOES NOT accommodate motorized wheelchairs or scooters.
• Please do not forget to mention any food allergies to your guide when placing your booking.
• This excursion needs a minimum of 2 participants to operate.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
• Your ship skips/misses the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
  
• Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
