Once your ship has arrived in St. Maarten you will meet directly at the park just a 30-minute ride away, where you will begin your adventure. Your adventure begins in the Museum, discovering the customs, traditions, and lifestyle of plantation life through the eyes of Trace and Emilio Wilson, born into slavery in 1818.

 As you exit the Museum you will embark on the Sky Explorer, a chairlift rising 1,125 feet to the top of Sentry Hill, one of the island's highest peaks. On your first climb, you will stop at the mid-station for the Schooner Ride, sending you down the mountain on an inner tube through a series of curves and straightaways on a safe, specially designed track. After you catch your breath you will hop back on Sky Explorer for your ascent to the transfer station for a short orientation. Here you will put on your harness and safety equipment and revel in your exhilarating flight over the mountain ridge on the Sentry Hill Zipline for 500 meters.

Completing your bottom-to-top adventure you'll glide on Sky Explorer one final time to the peak of Sentry Hill where you enjoy a 360-degree view of the island in addition to the neighboring islands of  Saba, St. Eustatius, St. Barts, and Anguilla from a series of platforms. After taking advantage of this fantastic photographic venue, you will board Sky Explorer for your descent into the beautiful Emilio Wilson Estate, enjoying this incredibly unique perspective of The Friendly Island. Don't forget to make a stop in the gift shop to peruse souvenir and attraction photos for purchase. Emilio's Restaurant, tucked into the colonial estate walls, features classic local fare with a new twist. An appetizing assortment of food and beverage is available for purchase if you so desire.

When the time has come to depart simply ask the staff to call a cab for you to take you back to your cruise ship pier in St. Maarten.

Where we meet

For this St. Maarten Excursion, you will meet at St. Maarten at Rockland Estate. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

Excursion Restrictions

• The minimum participation age is 4 years old only if they meet the weight and height requirements.
• The minimum weight per participant is 100lbs (45kg) and the maximum weight is 275lbs (125kg).
• The minimum height is 52in (1.32 meters) and the maximum height is 80in (2.00 meters).
• Children must be accompanied by an adult. Children must be able to sit on their own.
• This excursion is not wheelchair accessible.
• This excursion is not suitable for pregnant women or persons with back, heart, or neck injuries.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
• Your ship skips/misses the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
  
• Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
