When you dock in Taino Bay in the Dominican Republic enjoy an exciting day at Damajagua Falls and flying through the air on zip lines. Enjoy a local lunch too.

You'll meet your guide outside your Taino Bay cruise ship dock. Your air-conditioned transport will get you to the Damajagua Waterfalls located approximately 20 minutes from the pier. Upon arrival at the falls entrance, your guide will lead you on a short 20-minute guided hike through the lush rainforest that will get you to the Cascades. Don't forget your camera for wonderful photos of some of the 27 awesome falls. There are refreshing pools carved into the limestone and a variety of stalactites (icicle-like deposits hanging from the roof) and stalagmites (inverted icicle-like deposits coming up from the floor). You should also have your swimsuit on under your clothing so you can cool off with a dip in the pool, jump off ledges into the refreshing water, and slide down the smooth rocks of 7 amazing falls. The hike up takes longer than the jump way down!

Back at shore excursion base cap, you'll be treated to a typical homemade Dominican lunch of rice, beans, chicken or beef, fried sweet potatoes and yucca, vegetables, tropical fruits, and more. This will satisfy the appetite you worked up at the falls. You'll then be taken to the Country World Adventure Park in the nearby town of Maimon where you can have a thrilling time on the zip lines. After a safety briefing by the zip guides, you'll attach a bottle of water to your harness to refresh on the circuit, and off you go on 3 zip lines. There are more than 7900 feet of galvanized steel cable carrying you over the park. The longest line is 2460 feet and you can enjoy the views as these lines do not require you to use your gloved hands as brakes like other zip lines. There is a handlebar for your comfort as you take in the green parkland below. From atop the first platform, the first guide will clip you onto the ziplines, and gravity to whisk you over to the next platform where the second guide awaits to unclip you. The guides will stop and assist you at each platform. These 3 ACCT-certified lines allow you to enjoy the ride without worry.

At the end of this exciting cruise shore excursion, you'll board your transportation to return to your Taino Bay cruise terminal in downtown Puerto Plata.

Excursion Notes

• We suggest you wear comfortable clothing and sports sandals or sturdy walking shoes that can get wet.
• The park rents water shoes for $2.00 USD on a first-come, first-serve basis.
• Lockers are available for rent at the Zipline Park (depending on the size of the locker, the cost is approximately $4.00 or $5.00 USD per locker).
  
• Bring sun protection, a camera, cash for balance payment, tips, shopping, etc.
  
• Please note that depending on the group size is the type of transportation. If the group is small, the transportation can be air-conditioned if not, then the operator would use a safari-type bus.

Excursion Restrictions

• The maximum weight per participant is 260 lbs (118 kg).
• Maximum hip/waist 44 in. (110 cm) and maximum leg size 31in (80cm).
• Guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times.

Cancellation

• You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
• Your ship misses/skips the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
  
• Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
