Your day begins with a short 5 to 10 minutes walk to meet your friendly guide at the end of the duty-free shops at your cruise pier. Once you meet your guide and are comfortably onboard the air-conditioned transportation your day of exploring Merida City begins.  

Merida is just a short drive from Progreso. With its unique architecture, you will discover places like Paseo de Montejo, Teatro Peon Contreras, La Cathedral de San Idelfonso, Casa Montejo, and the Plaza Grande just to mention a few places. You will also visit the biggest local crafts and bazaar market. Here you can browse the lovely handcraft open-air market, and shop for that perfect, one-of-a-kind souvenir. From finely constructed clothes to crafts to almost anything imaginable.

After you have done some sightseeing and shopping, it is time to go to Vistamar Beach Club where one welcome drink and snack will be waiting for you. Here the choice is yours kick back, relax and let your stress melt away. You will have access to all the beach club facilities, a pool, sun chairs, showers, free high-speed internet, live music changing rooms, and friendly staff to take care of you! 

Relax, soak up the sun on a beach lounger, or go fishing at the pier just a few steps from the beach club. After you've enjoyed your sightseeing and beach time, your guide will take you back to your Progreso cruise terminal.

Some walking over uneven surfaces is part of this Progreso Mexico shore excursion, and it may not be suitable for guests with walking disabilities.

Cancellation

• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
• Your ship skips/misses the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
  
• Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
