Ya mon! This Bob Marley Nine Mile Cruise Excursion from Ocho Rios takes you on a scenic ride through Jamaica's rainforest and the hilly inland to the birthplace and final resting place of legendary Bob Marley, king of Rastafari and Reggae Music.

Drive along the Coast before turning through the mountains to Nine Miles, a quaint village in the beautiful mountains of St. Ann It was here, on the 6th of February the legendary ‘King of Reggae' was born and it is the very same place where he was laid to rest. A tour of Nine Miles is a family affair as many of Bob's close relatives live there.

On the way, you will ride through several little villages and witness the everyday life of the inhabitants, away from the tourist centers. Arriving at Bob Marley's house, one of his relatives or friends will give you a guided tour of the premises, visiting his house and museum, the famous stone (Mount Zion Rock) where Bob used to relax and let himself be inspired by the unique view overlooking the nine-mile valley (yes you can sit on it and feel the magic!), followed by a visit to his, his brother's and his mother's resting place. Your guide will tell you the real stories about Bob Marley's life and answer any questions you may have.

Then motor down through St. Ann's Bay bypassing the birthplace of National Heroes Marcus Garvey before stopping at Scotches Jerk Center for lunch. Enjoy a traditional jerk-style meal - Jerk Chicken, Pork served with Festival or Bammy (Cassava bread). A beverage is also included - bottled water, local brand soft drinks, Coke, Pepsi, or local beer. You will then take a quick ride into the famous Fern Gully before returning to your ship.

Excursion Notes

• Please note that as this is private property there may be residents who are smoking marijuana which is not illegal.
• Optional drop off at Island Village for shopping.
• There is a minimum of 4 guests needed per booking.
• If anyone from your group does not show up without the required prior notice, you will need to pay 20% of their balance as well (directly to the operator as a no-show penalty).
  
• Guests may be asked to remove their shoes when entering the tomb.

Cancellation

• You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
• Your ship misses/skips the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
  
• Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
