SPECIAL NOTE: The Alaskan Fish and Wildlife Department requires all King Salmon to be "catch and release" only this season. All other species are allowed to be kept - Silver, Sockeye, Pink, and Chum.

Enjoy 4 full hours on the water with your knowledgeable U.S. Coast Guard-licensed salmon fishing cruise excursion captain, who will share his knowledge about Alaskan Salmon, their migration patterns as well as the most effective way to catch them. He will take you to the current Juneau Salmon Fishing hot spots! This shore excursion from Juneau is designed for serious anglers, but is suitable for friends or families of all ages (no fishing experience required), with excursion groups of up to 6 people per fishing boat. There is a minimum of 4 guests required for the fishing excursion to operate.

After meeting your shore excursion staff, you will transfer from the cruise pier in Juneau to your waiting salmon fishing cruise excursion boat. Your fishing destination will depend on where the salmon have been biting previous to your arrival. Troll-specific areas for seasonal Alaskan Salmon fishing - target one species, or depending on the time of year, go for the grand slam and attempt to catch all 5 - King, Silver, Sockeye, Pink, and Chum!

Your Juneau Half Day Salmon Fishing Shore Excursion captain can arrange for any fish you catch to be professionally processed locally (cleaned, flash frozen, smoked, canned etc.) and shipped to your home for an additional charge. Please note, that cruise ships will not store your fish aboard.

All fishing boats range in size and have all the required safety and communication gear required. They all have enclosed heated cabins, comfortable seating, plenty of viewing space, and a basic restroom. Complimentary snacks and cold, non-alcoholic beverages will be available throughout this Half Day Wild Alaska Salmon Fishing Shore Excursion from Juneau!

Please Note: Salmon fishing licenses are available for purchase on board and are required for anyone 16 years and older. The fishing excursion captain cannot take credit cards, so please bring the proper amount of cash USD to pay for your license (A fishing license is approximately $20 per person). Optional King Salmon Stamps (license) are additional (approximately $20 per person) for guests wanting to fish for king salmon.

Excursion Notes

• Excursion prices shown include all taxes and fees.
  
• Guests must be able to navigate a ramp and step on/off the fishing boat.
  
• Guests over 16 years of age will need to purchase salmon fishing licenses from the captain on board (cash only).
  
• Your captain can arrange for caught fish to be professionally processed locally (packaged, flash frozen, smoked, etc.), and later shipped to your home for an additional charge. Cruise ships will not store sport-caught fish aboard.
• By law, fish caught by guests cannot be prepared in a public/commercial kitchen.
• Please pay attention to the restrictions and requirements for this excursion, no refund will be granted if the requirements are not met.
  
• We recommend wearing layers with the top layer being waterproof. 
  
• We suggest you have cash on hand for refreshments, fishing license(s), excursion staff gratuities, shopping, etc.

Where we meet

For the Juneau Half Day Salmon Fishing Excursion, you will meet your local excursion guide right in the Juneau cruise pier area. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

Excursion Restrictions

• A minimum of 4 guests is required for this excursion to operate.
• The minimum participation age is 6 years old (with an adult).
• Guests must be able to board transportation, and navigate a ramp to the dock, which may be steep depending on the tide.
• Fold-up wheelchairs can be stored with advance notice. They cannot be used on the boat
• Pregnant women up to 10 weeks should check with their doctor before booking this excursion. Women 10 weeks or over should not participate in this excursion.
• This Juneau Half Day Wild Salmon Fishing Adventure Excursion may involve risks. We suggest you check with your elected person of choice to see if these possible risks might affect you.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
• Your ship skips/misses the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
  
• Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
