Your meeting point for this Kayaking Excursion in Ensenada is just a short walk from your Ensenada cruise ship pier. The friendly, English-speaking guides will get you checked in and onboard the transport. The kayak base is located about 45 minutes along the coast. Your guide will give you lots of information about what you will be doing, the area, and what you can expect to see during your tour.

The route is pretty as you travel through the city, its outlying area, and the scenic highway where you will see how the locals go about their day. As you approach the sheltered cove and beach, the road gets bumpy as you leave the beaten path. You are treated to a spectacular view as the road opens up to a pristine cove. The beach itself is made up of wave polished stones, where you will find the kayaks set up and ready.

At the Ensenada Kayaking Cruise Excursion base camp, the guides will go over the basics of paddling a kayak and tell you all of the safety information. They will then help you with your gear and the kayaks in the water. You will follow the guide as they lead you through the cove area that is filled with floating kelp forests, rocky caves, and amazing rock formations. You will also get a chance to see some of the local marine creatures including the "barking" sea lions and the numerous seabirds in the area.

You will have lots of time to look as you go - the pace is slow. Beginners and kayakers of all ages are welcome! There are shared 2-person and single-person kayaks.

When the group returns to the base camp, you will be driven back to the meeting point near your Ensenada cruise ship terminal.

Ensenada Beaches sea temperatures range - 19 to 23C / 66 to 73F, warmest in September and lowest in February.

Excursion Notes

• This activity can be done in single or double (2 people) kayak, please tell us your choice.
  
• We suggest you wear your swimsuit, shorts, t-shirt, water shoes or old tennis shoes, bring sun protection, a towel, cash for tips, etc.

• Please note that transportation is NOT included. The transportation cost is $13.00USD per person to be paid to your local guide in cash at the meeting point the day of the excursion.

Excursion Restrictions

• This excursion is not wheelchair friendly.
• Suggested weight limit of 275lbs (125Kg) for a single kayak, and 425lbs (193Kg) for a double kayak.
• The minimum participation age is 5 years old.
• This Ensenada Arbolitos Beach Kayak Excursion may involve risks. We suggest you check with your elected person of choice to see if these possible risks might affect you.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
• Your ship misses/skips the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
  
• Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
