Your adventure through Rome will start right as soon as you disembark from your cruise ship terminal You will take your Hop on Hop Off bus right next to the Civitavecchia train station. You can either take a shuttle to the train station which you can board from the cruise ship terminal (it has an extra cost), or if you prefer, you can walk, it is only 700 mts away! Once there, the train ticker will be included in your excursion so, jump on board and enjoy the ride to the beautiful city of Rome! (Train tickets are included!)
Once there, you will have several things to do and places to see when you are in Rome! For example, one of the main attractions you can admire is the Colosseum, the most iconic symbol of the ancient world in Rome. With a capacity of 50,000 people, it was used to show battles between gladiators, slaves, prisoners, and wild animals. Get your camera ready to capture everything, you will have the entrance ticket included to avoid lines!
Other important spots to visit are the Vatican, where you can admire the magnificent cathedral and the Sixtine Chapel, and the Piazza di Spagna, completed in 1725, where you can find the Spanish embassy and famous Spanish steps. When you're ready to return to your cruise, you can take the Hop on Hop off the bus to the nearest stop to the train station, get back on board, and enjoy a relaxing ride back to Civitavecchia port. You can take the shuttle back as soon as you arrive or, if time allows, continue exploring on your own!
Please note: A separate voucher will be emailed to you. You must print the voucher and give it to the local operator to do the excursion.
Where we meet
For the Civitavecchia Best of Rome Sightseeing with Colosseum and Hop-on Hop-off Bus Excursion, you will meet your local excursion staff at the Civitavecchia train station located within walking distance from your cruise port. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket. Please allow enough time to catch the port shuttle to the transportation hub for your departure.
Cancellation
For the Civitavecchia Rome Hop-on Hop-off Sightseeing with Colosseum Ticket Excursion By Train, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 7 days prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.
For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:
- Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
- Your ship skips/misses the port.
- Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
- A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
- Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
- Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
