Your Cartagena scuba excursion meeting point is at the dive center just a short taxi ride from the Cartagena cruise pier. Your PADI-certified, specialized dive master will get you checked in, the forms filled out and pass out your dive gear. Nitrox may be available on-site.
You can have an early start to your dive with the 7:00 a.m. departure time! As the boat moves off to the first dive spot, the dive master will go over the dive plan and what you can expect. The dive master will be with your small group at all times.

Your exact scuba dive excursion location will vary depending on the time of year, weather, and water conditions. Some of the typical dive sites include Baru Island, the Salmedina Lighthouse, Bass Bubbles, and the Rosario Island National Park.
Each dive will normally be at +/-60ft, for approximately 40 minutes each. There will be a surface interval which will usually be on the dive boat as the boat is traveling to the second dive location, roughly about 40 minutes to an hour. The surface interval could also possibly be at a nearby beach.
During your dives, there will be bottled water, fruit, cookies, and candy as a light snack. When the boat returns to the dive shop, you may take a taxi back to your Cartagena cruise ship terminal at your leisure and expense.
Where we meet
For the Cartagena Columbia 2 Tank SCUBA Diving Excursion, you meet at the Club Nautico Cartagena, located just 10 minutes taxi ride from your cruise ship terminal in Cartagena (the approximate cost is $5.00 USD if you take a taxi from outside the cruise terminal or $15.00 USD if you take a taxi located inside the terminal gates). All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.
Cancellation
For the Cartagena Colombia Certified 2-Tank SCUBA Diving Excursion by Boat, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.
For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:
- Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
- Your ship skips/misses the port.
- Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
- A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
- Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
- Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
