Your meeting point is just a 1-2 minute walk from your cruise ship's pier in St. Thomas, where your guides will be waiting to get you checked in and start the tropical island music on your fun open-air sightseeing transportation. Your sightseeing guide will be giving you lots of island info, stories, and history about St. Thomas and the capital city, Charlotte Amalie.
Learn that Columbus landed on the island in the 1400s. The island was first named Taphus (Beer Houses) and founded in 1666. The island's history is thick with pirate lore. The island is now part of the U.S. Virgin Islands and has a population of approximately 20,000.
As you travel the island, you will see numerous examples of Danish colonial architecture. Your St. Thomas excursion guide will be pointing out all of the important highlights. Your fun transportation will take you to the highest point on the island, Mountain Top, at 1,547ft above sea level. There will be stops along the route for photo opportunities.
Looking out at Mountain Top, you can see Magen's Bay Beach stretched out below. Rated as one of the top 10 beaches in the world, the view is fantastic.
The sightseeing portion of your Saint Thomas shore excursion is approximately 2 hours, then you will be off to the beach. You will be stopping at Magen's Bay to enjoy your beach break time. There will be about 2 hours at the beach to relax, swim, stroll, rent a jet ski, or parasail, or just enjoy your vacation. You can secure your belongings in the van while you enjoy the beach. There wll be several beach restaurants and bars to purchase food and beverages.
On the way back to the meeting point and your cruise ship terminal in Saint Thomas, you will loop around to the East End of the island to Red Hook Ferry and 2 of the marinas where you will get a glimpse of the local life. The approximate duration is 4 hours.

Where we meet
For this St. Thomas Sightseeing Highlights and Beach Excursion, you will meet right outside the cruise ship's pier gate in St. Thomas. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.
Cancellation
For the St. Thomas Sightseeing Highlights and Beach Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 48 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.
For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:
- Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
- Your ship skips/misses the port.
- Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
- A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
- Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
- Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
