Enjoy a day exploring Nevis, the sister island of St. Kitts and filled with wonders and charms all of its own. You'll enjoy a fast catamaran that is 37 ft. long, and fits 16 passengers comfortably. Then you'll step off the dock on Nevis Island and have the chance to be a part of history. You'll see the beauty of the tropics and historical locations while accompanied by a knowledgeable guide. Enjoy a fresh lunch on a beautiful beach and then be brought by boat back to your cruise ship pier.
Start this great day by meeting your guide just a short walk from your St. Kitts cruise ship pier. Then you'll board your motorized comfortable catamaran. Glide across the beautiful waters to the lovely, neighboring island of Nevis.
Once on Nevis, you will board a comfortable, air-conditioned van and your first stop will be at the Alexander Hamilton Museum. This two-story Georgian style building was the birthplace of Alexander Hamilton, one of the writers of the United States of America's Constitution. He was also the first Secretary of State and strongly opposed to slavery. You'll be here for 15-minutes approximately if you want to check out the inside of the museum, the entrance fee is $6.00 USD per person (not included in the price).
Then it's on to see the St. Thomas Anglican Church. This is the first Anglican Church in the Caribbean, and the oldest church on Nevis; St. Thomas Church was built in 1643. You'll have a chance to stop and take photos of this historical building.
Next, you'll have 30-minutes to explore the Colonial Plantation, once the home of Fanny Nisbet, who married British Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson. A large, and historical plantation that was the only one with full access to the sea, quite unusual for the time period. After having the chance to see how the wealthy once lived. It will be time to stop on Pinney's beach for a fresh lunch of creole chicken, fish or veggie wrap served with rice and peas and a complimentary drink. Your total time on Nevis is approximately 3.5 hours.
When you have completed lunch, can relax on the beach on your beach chair or chill under the umbrella, take a swim, stroll along the beach or just enjoy the fact you are on vacation! You will get back on the catamaran for the return trip back across to St. Kitts and Port Zante marina, close to your St. Kitts cruise ship pier.
