Costa Rica is a popular location for whitewater rafting, whitewater kayaking and riverboarding with its surrounded rainforests and home to a plentiful array of exotic animal species such as jaguars, monkeys, and ocelots. The warm water, cascading waterfalls, and opulently lush rainforest with its brilliantly colored plants, animals, and birds will indulge your senses on every level.

Your adventure begins in rare fashion as your professionally certified guide meets you inside your Puerto Limon pier and close to the ship. You will be escorted to your modern, deluxe, air-conditioned transportation for a tranquil sojourn through the Costa Rican countryside to your river rafting destination - Reventazon River.

Here you will be fitted with life jackets and paddles to prepare for your whitewater rafting adventure. Quality equipment and an expert guide will ensure your safety throughout this fun adventure on one of the famous and picturesque rivers in the country.  With true river gorges, most are flanked by steep, green walls provides a safe experience for beginners while challenging more experienced paddlers. The crystalline waters flow over waterfalls while colorful, tropical birds fly right over your head. Your time on the river is approximately 2.5 hours. Downstream you will pull over on the banks to continue your excursion.

As you trek through this undeveloped tropical rainforest keep watch as an abundance of wildlife including sloth, toucans, parrots, coatis, morpho butterflies, and colorful frogs may come into view. You will also feast on a freshly prepared picnic lunch in a gorgeous clearing on the river bank. Some of the options include tortillas, fried beans, salad, guacamole, turkey ham, pork ham, cheese, chips, seasonal fruit, etc. You will have approximately 1 hour to rest and enjoy lunch.

At the end of your amazing day, you will be returned to your Puerto Limon pier in the comfort of your transportation.

Where we meet

For this Puerto Limon White Water Rafting with Lunch Excursion, you will meet right at your cruise ship pier and gangway, all necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

Excursion Restrictions

• Minimum participation age is 12.
• Underage children must ride with an adult.
• Maximum weight to participate in this excursion is 280lbs (127 kg).
• Not appropriate for mobility challenged guests.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
• Your ship misses/skips the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
  
• Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
