Get away from the cruise ship crowds and enjoy a half day of sailing and snorkeling cruise excursion in Nassau.

Your sailing excursion staff will pick you up right outside the cruise ship pier. They will get you signed in and the transportation will take you to the nearby dock where the sailboats are. The friendly staff will get you checked in, aboard, and help get you settled in. There is lots of room for everyone to spread out, and group size is kept low.

There are 2 sailboats that may be used - one has a capacity of 12 guests (41') and the other a capacity of 26 guests (56'). The boat used depends on the number of guests booked for the departure. The crew will circulate throughout the sailing excursion, assisting guests and offering beverages. There is unlimited fruit punch, lemonade, tea, and bottled water for all guests.

The sailboat will be under sail, (no motor) so as you head towards your snorkel spot, you can relax and enjoy the views as you pass by. The overall sailing time is approximately 1.5 hours. When you reach the reef, the crew will pass out the snorkeling gear, show you how to use it, and then lead the group on a guided snorkel. The reef is only about 12' deep so guests will see all of the marine life, fish, and coral up close. You do not want to forget your camera!

There will be numerous colorful fish swimming on the reef along with coral formations and other brilliant marine life. The guide will point out some of the sights as you go along. The snorkeling portion is approx. 1.25 hours.

When the snorkeling portion is completed, you will be assisted back onto the boat. Complimentary rum punch will be served along with cheese and crackers (as well as fruit punch, lemonade, tea, and bottled water).

Stretch out on the deck, soak up some sun and enjoy the sail back to the dock. The transportation will take you back to the meeting point at the pier.

Excursion Notes

• Bring towels, swimsuits, cameras, and hats.
• You may wear your swimsuit under your clothes but there are also 2 restrooms on board, and several cabins, if you would like to change. If you think you don't want to be in your wet swimsuit the whole cruise, then feel free to bring along a change of clothes.
• We recommend that you leave valuables at home, or in your hotel or cruise ship safe.
• Cash Bar: In addition to the complimentary drinks we do have sodas, beer, and some cocktails for sale so you just need to bring along extra cash (no credit cards) for your bar tab. You are not permitted to bring along your own alcohol/drinks. Sodas are $2 and everything else (beers, cocktails, wine, the Rum Punch before it's 'free') is $5.00 - $8.00 USD
• Additional rentals available: Nikon Coolpix Underwater Camera ($35.00 USD + $100.00 USD security deposit) and several of the newer design full face snorkel masks ($10.00 USD + $70.00 USD security deposit) - these are quite cool, with increased visibility and they allow you to breathe normally (through both your mouth and your nose).
• Additional purchases available: T-shirts - usually modeled quite nicely by your crew  - they are in sizes S-XXXL and are $25.00 USD (white) and $30.00 USD (NEW COLORS: royal blue, turquoise) each.
  

Where we meet

For this Nassau Sailing Excursion, you will meet right outside your Nassau Bahamas cruise ship pier terminal. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

Excursion Restrictions

• All guests under 18 years old must be accompanied by paying adult/guardian participating in the same excursion.
• The minimum age for alcohol consumption is 18 years old.
• Rum punch will only be served after snorkeling is completed.
• The minimum participation age is 2 years old.
• There are no motorized wheelchairs or mobility scooter-accessible vehicles available.
• This Nassau Half Day Sail and Snorkeling Excursion may involve risks. We suggest you check with your elected person of choice to see if these possible risks might affect you.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
• Your ship misses/skips the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
  
• Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
