- 2 beach day pass packages are available: 1. Parasailing (available as single or double riding), 2. Beach chairs and umbrellas. Both packages include unlimited use of kayaks, paddleboards, Hobie Catamarans, and various floats (depending on availability).
Smathers Beach is the largest public beach in Key West. It is approximately a half mile long and is located on the island's south side, along the Atlantic Ocean.
For this Key West beach excursion, you will take a short taxi ride to Smathers Beach, where the staff will be waiting to check you in. You can choose one of the options to enjoy your day, choose the Beach pass & one parasail flight; or, the second option, the beach pass, chairs & umbrellas. Both options include kayaks, paddleboards, and Hobie cat. As soon as you're checked in the day is yours to enjoy!
Jump on a paddle board, kayak, or Hobie cat, and explore Key West's Smathers Beach. Choose to parasail and fly solo or tandem with another person flying with you.
Each flight, whether solo or tandem, is about 8 to 15 minutes from take-off to landing. As you parasail, you may be able to spot dolphins or see colorful tropical birds flying past you. You will land back on the boat when your flight is finished. When everyone onboard completes their flights, you will head back to the beach, where the rest of the day is yours to enjoy.
Please note that even though each flight is up to 15 minutes, there may be more guests on your boat who also will have their flight, so the overall time out on the boat may be up to one hour.
There are also other water activities available for rent at Smathers Beach, such as windsurfing, floats, rafts, jet skis, etc.
There are local vendors and food trucks all along the beach. Please note that food and drinks are purchased at your own expense. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the tranquil beach.
When your day has come to an end, taxis will be available at all times at Smathers Beach to take you back to your Key West cruise ship terminal at the end of the beach shore excursion.
Where we meet
For the Key West Beach Pass at Smathers Beach Excursion, you will meet the local vendor directly at Smathers Beach. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.
Cancellation
For the Key West Smathers Beach Day Pass Options, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.
For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:
- Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
- Your ship skips/misses the port.
- Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
- A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
- Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
- Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
