This fabulous Private Catamaran Charter Cruise Excursion in Grand Cayman begins just steps outside your ship at the Grand Cayman (Georgetown) cruise terminal. Your private catamaran crew will greet you and take you aboard. The captain of the motorized catamaran will welcome your group and provide safety instructions.
There will be plenty of room for your group to spread out on this sailing catamaran. Settle in for your relaxing trip to Stingray City located about 4 miles offshore from Grand Cayman Island - it will take about an hour for the catamaran to get to the site. The crew will pass out your snorkel gear and then assist and instruct you on how to use it. Then, it's into the water to interact with these wonderful marine creatures at the sandbar in 3ft of water. Not only can you snorkel and float above them but you can also touch, hold and possibly feed the docile rays. This should be on every Grand Cayman visitor's Must-Do list.
The plan is that you spend about an hour in the water with the rays, but remember that this is your private catamaran excursion for the day, so there is flexibility as long as it fits your cruise ship's schedule.
After your private guided snorkeling at Stingray City, you will climb back on board your private catamaran sailboat and relax as the boat motors to the Grand Cayman Barrier Reef where you will have some excellent snorkeling waiting - it seems like a continuously moving kaleidoscope of colorful tropical fish. You will have approximately 45 minutes to an hour to enjoy the marine life on the coral reef.
When you finish your snorkel part of this Catamaran Charter Cruise Excursion in Grand Cayman, you will sail back to the starting point of this adventure (winds permitting, motor if they don't). The crew will serve you soft drinks and bottled water. Guests are welcome to bring their own snacks or beverages (including alcohol) on this private charter shore excursion. There is a restroom and a freshwater shower on board this sailing catamaran to rinse off.
You will be dropped off back at the meeting point outside the cruise ship pier, you may shop, sight-see, or return to the ship at your leisure.
