The friendly snorkeling shore excursion staff will be waiting for you just across from your cruise ship's terminal. Your transportation will take you for a short drive to the dock where your snorkel excursion boat will be waiting. Get ready for a fun time in Grand Cayman!
Your first snorkel excursion stop will be the world-famous Stingray City Sandbar; you can get in and the water is waist-deep. The experienced guides will instruct you on how to touch and hold the sting rays. You may have the opportunity to kiss or even possibly feed these gentle, docile rays. You have the option to stay on the boat and just watch if you wish. The rays pose no harm to the guests who visit and are very used to interacting with humans.
After your encounter with the friendly stingrays, the shore excursion captain will take you to a great site for a great snorkeling experience. He will make the determination, according to the daily conditions. The guide will pass out the snorkel gear, demonstrate how to use it, and then lead you into the water to explore. Cayman boasts some of the best snorkeling around, so regardless of the sites chosen, you will be treated to a colorful display of marine life. Your snorkeling time is approximately 45 minutes.
Cold bottled water will be served onboard. The Grand Cayman snorkel shore excursion captain will take the boat back to the pier afterward where the transportation will drop you back off at your Grand Cayman cruise ship pier. Note: There is a variety of boats used ranging from 32' to 60'.
Where we meet
For this Grand Cayman Captain's Choice Reef and Stingray City Snorkel Excursion, you will meet just outside your Grand Cayman cruise ship terminal. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.
Cancellation
For the Grand Cayman Captain's Choice Reef and Stingray City Snorkel Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 48 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.
For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:
- Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
- Your ship skips/misses the port.
- Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
- A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
- Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
- Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
