A UNESCO World Heritage site, Dubrovnik is known as the pearl of the Adriatic, thanks to its strategic location on the Dalmatian coast and its stunning Gothic and Baroque architecture. Since the HBO show debuted, the city has seen such an exponential rise in tourism that it has been dubbed the Game of Thrones effect.

After meeting your professional, knowledgeable guide near your Dubrovnik cruise terminal, you will receive a brief introduction before your short, comfortable transfer to Dubrovnik Old Town (King's Landing). Here you will enjoy stops where you will hop out and walk at various locations to gather in the rich history of this spectacular city. Onofrio's Fountain, Franciscan Monastery, St. Blaise, Orlando's Column, Memorial Room in Sponza Palace, and Dubrovnik Cathedral will provide both TV show enthusiasts and history buffs alike, with a great opportunity to experience this magnificent municipality.

You will also have the opportunity to enter the Lovrijenac Fort and for sure you will recognize it as the Red Keep. The construction of this amazing fortress began in 1018 and was completed in the 16th century. Many of the "G.O.T." scenes were filmed inside the fort including Joffrey's name day. Remember the episode, Battle of the Blackwater? You will also admire Blackwater Bay and walk along St. Dominic Street where Cercei did the "Walk of Shame" and other important locations from the series. Before your adventure ends, a visit to a certified Game of Thrones Shop will present an awesome opportunity to take a photo of a replica of the Iron Throne.

Where we meet

For this Dubrovnik Excursion, you will meet your local excursion guide outside your Dubrovnik cruise terminal. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket. If your ship does not dock and is at anchor, please allow enough time to tender ashore for your departure.

Excursion Restrictions

• This excursion is not wheelchair accessible.
  
• Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times.
  
• Guests must be able to walk on paved, gravel polished stone, and cobblestone surfaces, some on inclines.
• There are steps required to enter several of the sites as well as steep curbs in some areas.

Cancellation

• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
• Your ship skips/misses the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
  
• Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
