After tendering to shore in the chic port of Cannes, you will meet your driver/guide. In an exclusive group of no more than eight guests, you will depart Cannes, following the motorway. You will pass the seaside towns of Antibes (known for its Billionaire's Quay yacht basin) and Nice, to reach the Medieval hilltop town of Eze, approximately 50 minutes away. Here, you will have approximately 30 minutes to take photos of the town, browse the shops at the base, or for the energetic, climb up into the medieval town. Those making the climb along the winding pedestrian streets will find a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean coast including Cap Ferrat.

Following your free time, a short visit is made to the nearby Fragonard perfume, soap, and cosmetics factory. The company began making perfumes in 1926, in the nearby town of Grasse, and now the family business is under the eye of the third generation. You will have a short guided visit and the staff on hand will explain how to choose a fragrance that is right for you.

Your transportation will continue through the hills, along the Middle Corniche, to the hillside village of La Turbie. You will stop for a photo overlooking the town and the ruins of the 6th century BC, Tropaeum Alpium, (Trophy of the Alps) erected by Roman Emperor Augustus to celebrate a victory. Many former pieces of the Trophy are now part of the homes and buildings that surround it.

A quick drive up and over the hill brings you to the French Riviera's lap of luxury, Monaco. The first stop will be the Rock, known for the spectacular lookout over the rest of the city. Next, you will have an exterior visit to the Royal Prince Palace. It is here, each day at 11:55 AM, that the changing of the guard takes place. A short walk away is the Cathedral, where those wishing can see the final resting place of Prince Rainier and his Princess Grace.

You will then have approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes on your own to explore, purchase lunch, visit the Oceanographic Museum or shop the narrow streets of the Rock. Your guide can provide suggestions if you wish.

After meeting your driver at the appointed location and time, you will take a quick drive over to Casino Square. There is time for a quick photo of the exterior of the casino, the Hotel de Paris, the Cafe de Paris, or the endless lineup of exotic and luxury cars lined up in front of them.

Departing the casino hill, your driver will follow a portion of the Monte Carlo Grand Prix circuit before returning to the motorway for the approximately one-hour drive back to the tender pier in Cannes.

Excursion Notes

You must be on one of the first 2 tenders ashore to meet the guide on time. Please book your tender ticket onboard the cruise ship when your cruise starts.
Excursion prices are quoted in US dollars.
As you may be visiting a religious or memorial site, shoulders and knees must be covered on men and women.
We suggest you have cash (Euros) on hand for refreshments, excursion staff gratuities, shopping, etc.
Sensible, rubber-soled walking shoes are highly recommended along with sun protection.
Please pay attention to the restrictions and requirements for this excursion, no refund will be granted if the requirements are not met.

All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket. Please allow enough time to tender ashore for your departure.

Excursion Restrictions

This excursion is not wheelchair accessible.
Guests must be able to step in and out of the van.
Guests must be able to walk on paved, gravel, and cobblestone surfaces, some on inclines.
There are steps required to enter several of the sites as well as steep curbs in some areas.

This excursion operates rain or shine, within safety guidelines. The local cruise excursion operator will decide at the time of departure if there is a reason to postpone or cancel the excursion.

Is lunch included on this Cannes Full Day to Monte Carlo, Eze, La Turbie, and Monaco Excursion?

Lunch is not included on this excursion. You will have approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes of free time starting around 12:30 PM at which time you can purchase lunch on your own.

Will there be restrooms?

Restrooms are located at each stop. In Europe, a small package of tissues is suggested as public restrooms may or may not have toilet paper. Most public restrooms require a small fee. Having a few local coins is highly recommended as they do not always make changes.

Is there shopping time included on this Cannes Full Day to Monte Carlo, Eze, La Turbie, and Monaco Excursion?

Shopping will be available during your free time in Monte Carlo. Depending on your ship's departure time, you may have time for shopping in Cannes upon your return. Many stores are open until 07:00 PM Monday through Saturday.

Can I use US dollars?

Most large stores and restaurants will take major credit cards and some may take other currencies besides the Euro. Small stores restaurants or sidewalk vendors will usually only take local currency. The best exchange rates for currency are usually at major bank ATMs. The worst rates are at the airport, train stations, or exchange bureaus located in major excursionist areas. Before leaving home, please check with your credit card companies and banks on what transaction or other fees they may apply if you use a debit or credit card abroad. These are in addition to the fees applied by the vendor or host bank where you are using the card.

No, it is not necessary to take along your passport unless noted by your cruise line or listed in the Restrictions or Notes tab for the excursion. Your local operator has your booking noted. Please arrive with a printed copy of your eticket or digital copy if applicable.

Cancellation

For the Cannes Full Day to Eze, La Turbie, and Monaco Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.

For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:

Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
Your ship skips/misses the port.
Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
