After meeting your driver/guide on your tender pier shoreside in Villefranche, your exclusive group of no more than eight guests will depart Villefranche. The route will take you on the motorway west to reach Port Grimaud, approximately 90 minutes away. All along the route, you will have great coastal views.
Port Grimaud is a charming resort town, designed by architect Francois Spoerry in the 1960s. It combines the local fishermen's village charm with Venice-like canals. It is a popular vacation destination for boat owners as most properties including shops and restaurants have an adjoining dock or berth. You will spend approximately 30 minutes walking its pedestrian streets, bridges, and squares. You will see why there are few cars and many boats!
The famous seaside port of Saint-Tropez is just a 30-minute drive away. Saint-Tropez became the jewel of the Riviera beginning in the 1920s. It started as "the" place to winter for Paris's fashion world. Led by Coco Channel and Elsa Schiaparelli, soon everyone who was anyone in fashion was in Saint-Tropez. Artists, authors, and the Parisian bohemian elite soon made it their private little getaway.
Saint-Tropez was brought to the attention of the world when the film industry started using it for movie locations. With the release of the 1956 film "And God Created Women" starring Brigitte Bardot, Saint- Tropez began to sizzle and became the "it" place on the Riviera for the rich and famous.
You will have approximately three hours on your own to explore the harbor and get a closer look at the mega yachts, hit the shops, climb the adjacent hill for views over the bay, meandering pedestrian streets or sit and enjoy a glass of champagne in the Place des Lys, Saint-Tropez's place to be seen.
You will meet your driver at the appointed time for the drive back to Villefranche, approximately 90 minutes away, and be dropped off at your cruise ship tender pier.
Where we meet
For this Villefranche to Saint-Tropez Excursion, you will meet your local excursion guide on your tender pier shoreside in Villefranche. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket. Please allow enough time to tender ashore for your departure.
Cancellation
For the Villefranche to Saint-Tropez Sightseeing Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.
For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:
- Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
- Your ship skips/misses the port.
- Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
- A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
- Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
- Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
