The parasail cruise excursion camp is located at Orient Bay, the most popular beach of St. Maarten (Saint Martin) on the French side of the island. Enjoy 1.5 miles of soft sand and crystal clear blue waters, and great restaurants and bars scattered along the beach.

From your cruise ship terminal, you will take a taxi for a short and scenic 15-minute ride to Orient Bay. Upon arrival, check in with the Parasail operator and be prepared to enjoy this incredible adventure. As part of the fun, you will ride a jet ski to get to the parasailing boat just a few minutes away from shore. Once on board the parasailing boat, your English-speaking parasailing crew will go over the safety instructions and information to assure that you will have a great time.

The parasail boat was specially designed to safely launch you in a controlled ascension directly from the boat's parasail platform without getting wet! The crew will get you into the harness, hook it into the parachute bar and you will gently lift off! The experienced Captain does everything else, you just enjoy the freedom of flying through the sky with a fantastic view over Orient Bay and the island's surroundings!

You have the option to fly solo (by yourself) or tandem with another person (please see the order form for pricing information). Flight time is the same for single or double. The parasail flight is a peaceful experience. Take in the panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and even the neighboring island of St Barth, Anguilla, and Pinel.

When your 10 - 12-minute parasailing flight is completed (from take-off to landing back on the boat), the boat wench will reel you in and you will land back on the boat's parasail platform. The captain will only "dip" guests into the water if requested, otherwise, guests will not touch the ocean. You may be sharing the boat with other parasailing participants, so enjoy the boat ride while waiting for your turn. When all guests on board have completed their flight, the boat will return to the meeting spot and the jet ski will take you back to the beach (you may also change the parasailing time once you are on-site). Feel free to stay at the beach, you will have plenty of time to explore Orient Bay and enjoy other activities on-site.

Please note that there is a maximum of 10 to 12 guests per departure (depending on the water conditions and the guest's combined weight). The time is from take off to landing. The overall duration of this excursion could be 1.5 hours for all to complete their flights.

There may be an opportunity to purchase photos taken by the parasail excursion staff after the shore excursion. Or of course, you are welcome to bring your own camera! There may be some splashing of waves and spray that can damage electronics - please consider if you bring any cameras or cell phones or similar on board the parasailing excursion boat. Your cruise ship terminal is only a 15-minute taxi ride away from Orient Bay Beach.

Excursion Notes

• We suggest you bring a swimsuit or comfortable clothing, towel, sun protection, camera, cash for additional purchases, tips, taxi cost, food, drinks, etc.
  
• Bring a ziplock plastic bag for your electronic devices or a waterproof case if planning to use a cell phone or camera during this excursion.
• Parasail time is 10-12 minutes per flight (from take-off to landing).
• The excursion captain has the final say regarding maximum and minimum weights to parasail, according to the wind conditions at the moment. 
• If your flight is canceled by the operator, please contact us within 14 days of the scheduled excursion for your refund.
• Taxi cost is not included.
  

Where we meet

For this St Maarten Parasailing Excursion, you will meet directly at Orient Bay, just a short taxi ride from your ship pier. All details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

Excursion Restrictions

• A life jacket is required at all times.
• The minimum participation age is 3 years old.
• This excursion is not allowed for guests with limited mobility.
• Maximum weight is 445lbs (200Kg) - the captain has the final say according to wind conditions at the time.
• The minimum weight to fly solo is 125lbs (55Kg).
• There is no minimum age to pay as an observer but the ride can be bumpy and not appropriate for smaller children.
• Participants under 18 years old need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
• Note that guests must be able to ride on the jet ski out to the waiting parasailing boat and climb onto the boat.
• This St. Maarten Parasailing at Orient Bay Beach may involve risks. We suggest you check with your elected person of choice to see if these possible risks might affect you.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
• Your ship misses/skips the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
  
• Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
