Kick back and relax as you cruise from the Dutch side to the French side of St. Maarten Island. Suitable for all the family, do not miss out on this one!
You will meet your English-speaking guide at the central meeting point, approximately a 10-minute walk from the St. Maarten cruise ship pier (a 10-minute taxi ride from the Marigot cruise terminal in Sint Martin). You will receive a brief safety presentation before embarking on your snorkel boat. Limited to only 12 guests per departure. Get settled in and enjoy the ride! Please note that there is an additional $6.00 USD p/p Natural Reserve Fee that is due at the time of check-in, payable only in cash.
Your powerboat will head out past Simpson Bay Lagoon, home to luxury million-dollar mega yachts and spectacular views. As you cruise under the bridge, which signals the border between the island's two countries (French and Dutch), enjoy a short stop along the charming Marigot waterfront for a picturesque photo opportunity. From Marigot, you will continue to your first snorkel site, Creole Rock.
Creole Rock is part of the French National Marine Park and is famous for its abundant and colorful marine life. You can expect to see parrotfish, sergeant majors, and hard and soft corals but to name a few. Your guide will pass out the snorkeling gear (mask, snorkel, fins, and vest), demonstrate how to use it, and then assist you into the warm water.
Enjoy a guided snorkel for approximately 45 minutes. Don't forget to bring your underwater camera. Once back on board, enjoy a refreshing drink from the open bar and head on to your next destination. The open bar on board includes sodas, beer, rum, juices, and water.
Cruising past Happy Bay, Marigot, Baie Rouge, and Plum Bay, your knowledgeable guide will point out various sites of interest and provide you with some fun local information. On arrival at the secluded, pristine Long Beach, enjoy a one-hour visit where you can relax on an idyllic Caribbean beach, take a stroll, request to snorkel some more, or sip a cocktail at the popular, fun floating bar where you may purchase additional drinks. There are no beach chairs, umbrellas, or water sports available but lots of white sand and turquoise blue water!
After your beach stop, you will head to the famous Maho Beach for a brief visit to see the planes land and take off close overhead.
At the end of your combo boat, snorkel, and beach shore excursion, the boat will return to the Philipsburg St. Maarten cruise pier where you can choose to head back directly to your ship or explore more of the island on your own. Guests from ships at the Marigot cruise terminal may take a taxi back at their leisure (taxi costs are not included).
