Departing from your Old San Juan cruise port area, you will be greeted by your English speaking crew at the beautiful Amazing Grace schooner; a type of sailing boat that has 2 or more masts. This amazing vessel is an 83-foot topsail schooner, comfortably holds up to 25 guests. So pick a spot and get ready to enjoy a fun sightseeing adventure combined with a nice sail out on the water.

The sailing excursion route is designed by the experienced captain according to the wind conditions. You will enjoy great views of Old San Juan's historical buildings along the Harbor. One of the highlights is La Fortaleza, the current Governor's Mansion, built in 1533 as the first defensive fortification of the city and designated a World Heritage Site in 1983. Also marvel at the Fuerte San Felipe del Morro, a 16th-century Spanish military fort and its famous lighthouse.

You'll also have a chance to see many other impressive sights as you cruise along the bay; such as the Paseo de la Princesa, an esplanade just outside the city walls noted for its antique street lights. The pathway is lined with trees and benches and ends at the magnificent Ra'ces Fountain. Guests can also spot the Gate of San Juan which is the entryway or gate into the walled city and easy to spot with its characteristic red paint. Your knowledgeable crew will comment about the sights while serving cold beverages including sodas, juice, beer, and delicious Pina Coladas.

Enjoy Old San Juan's highlights without that overcrowded tourist feeling. There will be plenty of room to move around and get great photos. Where we meet

For the San Juan Old Harbor Coastal Sailing Excursion, you will meet a short 5-minute walk from your San Juan cruise pier. All necessary information will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

Excursion Restrictions

• Minimum participation age is 4 years old.
• Maximum capacity of the classic sailboat is 25 passengers.
• This excursion is not wheelchair accessible and not allowed for guests in wheelchairs.
• The minimum age for alcohol consumption is 18 years old.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
• Your ship misses/skips the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
  
• Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
