Look no further for a great adventure. Ride your own Razor buggy across mountains and deserts. Swim in the pristine collection pool of a waterfall, and then ride across the longest suspension bridge in the world. Afterward, you will be rewarded by stopping at a tequilera where you might just get to taste some tequila and help your body relax.
This great day will begin with a short taxi ride from your Puerto Vallarta cruise pier to the meeting point, about 5-minutes away. At the meeting point, you will climb aboard an air-conditioned van, or an open-air bus, depending on the size of the group.
Your first destination is "El Jorullo" park where the buggy base camp is. It is located approximately 30 minutes away. Your guide will give you a safety briefing and all your equipment including a helmet, goggles, and a bandana for those sandy trails. The buggies will be either automatic or semi-automatic and hold a maximum of 4 guests. The price is per buggy so you can ride solo or bring 3 others in your buggy. Once you are all set, it's time to follow your guide across a variety of landscapes. Please note that drivers can switch out along the route.
First, you'll travel across the western mountain range and see the beauty of the area from the heights of the trails. Then you're off through the desert, which has its unique landscape. Keep an eye out for wildlife, cacti, and the ever-changing colors of the desert. Your destination at this point is the waterfall known as "El Salto".
Once at the waterfall, you will get off the RZR buggy and spend some time relaxing at the waterfall. The pristine collection pool is the perfect place to take a dip while surrounded by nature's beauty and listening to cascading waters. You'll enjoy a half hour to sit back and take it easy before your next thrilling activity.
This is when you'll head to the longest suspension bridge in the world, Jorullo Bridge which rides high over the river "Cuale". Your ride across will give you phenomenal views. This is an experience like no other and something to tell friends about back home.
Back to the base camp, you'll climb out of your buggies and head to the El Jorullo Tequileria, which is a tequila location where you'll learn about this complex beverage and get a taste, or two. You'll also receive some authentic Mexican snacks such as guacamole or nachos.
Finally, it's time to call it a day and you will be returned to the original meeting point near the pier knowing you've seen some of the unique spots in Puerto Vallarta.
