Guests can get on the bus at any of the stops around the city. Most guests arriving by cruise ship have a location near their pier in Porto also known as Oporto. There are 2 different routes with a total of 25+ stops. The Blue Line has a total of 13 stops. The entire loop takes approximately 100 minutes and the buses run every 60 minutes starting at 09:15 AM to 05:15 PM. The Red Line has 14 stops. The full route takes 100 minutes and the buses run every 60 minutes starting at 09:30 AM to 05:30PM.. So much to see! You may book up to 3 months prior to your excursion date.

When you get on the bus, you can listen in the provided headset to the informative commentary that is available in 8 different languages. You can choose just to stay on the bus for the full route and sightseeing from the double-decker or you can hop off to explore and then catch the next bus as it comes around. If you're not sure which attractions are worth visiting then be sure to hop-off at these wonderful locations. Take the Red Line and take in the sensational architecture of the Se Catedral, also known as the Porto Cathedral. It's one of Porto's oldest landmarks. At the Blue Line, you'll find yourself by the Torre dos Clerigos, a tall, elegant bell tower that's visible from all over the city! Further along, the Blue Line is the Museu do Vinho de Porto, a port wine museum, perfect for those avid wine lovers! You'll learn all about where it comes from, how it's made and how the process has been developed over generations.

Porto is famous for its tasty wine. You'll get to visit one of the wine cellars for free! Choose 1 choice between - Quinta da Boeria, Quevedo or Porto Cruz. You're in for an unforgettable experience as you will learn how the wine is made, witness the beautiful views, and maybe even treat yourself to a glass of one of their finest wines! Other attractions may have an entrance fee that is not included.

Excursion Notes

• Excursion prices shown are quoted in US dollars.
• As you may be visiting a religious or memorial site, shoulders and knees must be covered for men and women.
• We suggest you have cash (Euros) on hand for refreshments, excursion staff gratuities, shopping, etc.
• Sensible, rubber-soled walking shoes are highly recommended along with sun protection.
• Please note that admission or entrance fees to the attractions/museums, etc are not included.

For the Porto Hop On Hop Off City Sightseeing Bus Excursion, there are numerous starting locations all over Porto City. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

Excursion Restrictions

• Fold-up wheelchairs can be accommodated on the lower level of the bus only.
• Many sites in the city are not wheelchair accessible.
• Guests must be able to navigate a narrow steep staircase to access the top deck of the bus.
• Guests must be able to walk on paved, gravel and cobblestone surfaces, some on inclines at most stops.
• There are steps required to enter several of the sites as well as steep curbs in some areas.
• Seating on the bus is on a first come basis.
• Excursion tickets are only valid on City Sightseeing buses. Unused tickets or tickets presented to another operator are non-refundable.
• As there is no specific end time the excursion, it is the guest's responsibility to know their ships scheduled departure time and plan their day to be back on board at the appointed time.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
• Your ship misses/skips the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
  
• Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
