If you arrived in Orlando a day early for your cruise, or your ship just came in and you have some time on your hands before your flight leaves, then here's a great activity. Explore the Everglades in an authentic airboat with an experienced captain. Enjoy a fully narrated ride through the wild on your headsets and then take a walk around a wildlife park and see some alligators up close and safely. Round trip transportation is included in Orlando and you can choose to ride for just 30 minutes, or for a whole hour in this unique, one of a kind ecosystem. It would be a shame to already be here and not explore the world famous Everglades.

You'll be picked up at one of several locations in and around Orlando with the first pickup at 07:30 AM and the last stop at 08:30 AM. Guests arriving into Port Canaveral must back their way to meeting point in Orlando on their own time and expense. Then once everyone along the route is picked up, the bus will leave Orlando at approximately 08:45 AM and the real fun awaits at the entrance of the Wildlife Park approximately 45 minutes away which is located at the headwaters of the Everglades. The excursion is basically 08:00 AM to 12:00 PM with different pickup times according to which hotel you are at. You'll go to the dock and be given your ear muff style headphones. These keep out the noise of the airboat but allows you to hear the captain as he points out areas of interest. There are 2 options - either the regular 30-minute ride or the Ultimate 60-minute ride. On the Ultimate Airboat Ride, you'll be able to go deep into the park and see much more the further you go. Look for wild birds and their nests, keep an eye out for the elusive panther, watch for the tropical birds, and look for those nostrils just above the water. Your experienced captain knows his way around and where to go to see the most wildlife. This is truly exciting and a once in a lifetime chance to see the most diverse eco-system in the world.

There are no developments here, although you may spot a tin-roofed fishing shack on occasion. Only pure nature at its finest is on this excursion. Enjoy the sights and scents of the wild before returning to the dock.

View the alligator exhibit and receive a bag of Alligator Food, one per family, to assure they only eat what's good for them. There are other animals in the park as well. Enjoy natural Florida on the 500-foot dock that overlooks the swamp or get your picture taken while holding a baby alligator. The property also offers an impressive selection of wildlife including bald eagles, deer, cows, boars, turkey, alligators and more. This brand new, eco-park is appealing to all ages with truly exotic animals that you've probably never seen before.

You will be free to take a look in the souvenir shop, get a cool beverage, and then when it's time, you'll climb back onboard your transportation for the ride back to your Orlando meeting point.

Excursion Notes

• We suggest you wear comfortable clothes and hiking or tennis shoes. You may want to bring a poncho as you could get wet on the ride.
• Bring along sun protection, camera, cash to purchase food, drinks, tips, shopping items, etc.
• This excursion departs from Orlando at 8:30 AM with multiple pick-ups at hotels in the area before heading to airboat. Guests arriving into Port Canaveral must make their way to Orlando on their own time and expense. Travel time from port to Orlando is approximately 1 hour.
• Not available on Sundays

Where we meet

For the Port Canaveral Orlando Everglades Airboat Ride Excursion, you will meet at one of several convenient locations in and around the Orlando area. All necessary details will be printed on your Shore Excursion Ticket.

Excursion Restrictions

• This excursion needs to be booked a minimum of 48 hours before the desired date.
• Infants 6 months and under are not allowed.
• Guests with mobility issues or wheelchairs are not allowed.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
• Your ship misses/skips the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
  
• Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
