From the iconic Lake Eola Park, the 24 Chain of Lakes, shopping and dining at Disney Springs to the ICON 360 observation wheel, you will truly see why Orlando is nicknamed "The City Beautiful".
This relaxing excursion is available for both visitors to Orlando and cruise guests either before or after their cruise out of Port Canaveral. There are several meeting points in the Orlando area where you'll meet your friendly guide and hop aboard your comfortable transportation. Your first trip highlight is Lake Eola Park, nestled in the heart of downtown Orlando. Here you'll see its center point, the Linton E. Allen Memorial Fountain built in 1957. The fountain was nearly destroyed by lightning in 2013 but now has been fully restored and remodeled. Take a stroll around the lake to see the eight privately commissioned modern art sculptures that dot its banks.
Next, you'll head to Winter Park to embark on a scenic boat excursion one of the oldest attractions in the state of Florida. "Chain of Lakes" is 24 man-made lakes that are connected by a canal. You'll be able to enjoy nature at its finest as you observe large cranes diving for their dinner or lazy alligators taking their ease along the banks covered with towering cypress trees and lush vegetation. You might also see racing crews from the nearby college out practicing. Keep your eyes open and you'll get a gander at the exquisite private homes and opulent estates that line the shores.
When it's time for lunch or browsing, you'll be able to choose from over 60 diverse dining options at Disney Springs. This shopping, dining and entertainment complex is divided into four areas, each reflecting the function and the fictional time period when it was developed. The Marketplace is designed around the American Craftsman-style of the 1930s. Highlights include the Earl of Sandwich restaurant, the T-Rex Cafe with animatronic dinosaurs, the Rainforest Cafe and the Lego Store. The Landing is predominantly restaurants and shops bearing a nautical-theme. The Town Center is Disney Springs' business district and here you'll find the springs the entire complex is named after. This area's style is Spanish Revival from the 1920s and includes the retail stores Sephora, Kate Spade, and Pandora, among others. With more than 100 shopping options to choose from, the time here will fly by. The price of lunch is not included.
Your final stop of the day will be ICON 360 for a photo stop. Please note that this excursion is also available with the entrance fee to the ICON 360 included - From atop this 400-foot diameter Ferris Wheel, you will be able to enjoy the gorgeous Orlando scenic view below before being returned to your original meeting point.
