Whether you are looking for an adventure before or after your cruise, or simply in town exploring, the New Orleans Sightseeing excursion comes highly recommended if you want to experience the best. You will absorb the sights and sounds of the world famous French Quarter and historic Jackson Square, home of the Cabildo and Presbytery Museums.

You will meet directly at a centrally located spot where your guide will be waiting for you. Then you will set out to explore the highlights. Visit one of historic cemeteries, referred to as "Cities of the Dead," and learn about this unique above ground burial system. Here you will marvel at stories of voodoo and piracy on Bayou St. John, the waterway used by Jean Lafitte and his band of pirates, as we make our way to the shores of Lake Pontchartrain. Here you will view the longest bridge over water in the world, the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway.

Next, follow the path of the St. Charles Avenue streetcar, the oldest continuously operating passenger railway system in the world, past the homes of former Kings and Queens of Mardi Gras, stately mansions, and the world-famous, exclusive Garden District. You will notice Tulane and Loyola Universities across from Audubon Park, home to one of the top five zoos in the nation, The Audubon Zoo.

At the end of the excursion, you will make your way to your hotel or cruise ship at your leisure and own expense.

Where we meet

For the New Orleans Highlights Sightseeing Excursion, you will meet after a short taxi ride from your cruise terminal. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

Excursion Restrictions

• A voucher will be sent in a separate email than your e-ticket. This voucher must be printed and brought with you to give to the local operator. Without the voucher in hand, you will not be allowed to participate.
• Guests may not book this excursion more than 6 months before their excursion date.
• Ticket holder must present a photo ID.
• This excursion is suitable for guests with foldable wheelchairs.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
• Your ship misses/skips the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
  
• Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
