You will meet your knowledgeable and entertaining guide at a convenient location for this 2.5-hour walking tour. From the Sazerac and Pimm's Cup to the Hurricane and Hand Grenade, you'll enjoy a view of New Orleans through its history of fine dining and drinking!
On this fun shore excursion, you will hear classic stories of the unique concoctions made famous in New Orleans and the characters that brought them to life, including Southern Comfort, created by M.W. Heron in a French Quarter bar in 1874. You'll get to go behind the scenes at Antoine's, the oldest restaurant in the city, and visit its wine cellar and private dining rooms. This exquisite restaurant is owned by the fifth generation of the same family that opened it over 175 years ago! You will enjoy a welcome cocktail at the beginning of the excursion, Natchez Punch.
You'll be shaken (not stirred) by the recipes of the city's most famous cocktails along the way. Take home a Southern Comfort Recipe Book and try mixing them yourself! And you'll also receive a coupon book with great offers at various French Quarter establishments!
At the end of your experience, you are free to return to your cruise ship or hotel at your leisure and expense. You might want to take the New Orleans Original Cocktail Excursion on your first day in New Orleans to find out the places you might want to wine and dine! You must be 21 years of age or older to take this excursion, which is recommended by the New Orleans Metropolitan Convention and Visitors Bureau.
A voucher will be sent in a separate email than your e-ticket. Please read the voucher for any special information or requirements. This voucher must be printed and presented to the local operator. Without the voucher in hand, you will not be allowed to do the excursion.
Where we meet
For the New Orleans French Quarter Bar Hop Walking Excursion, you will meet after a short taxi ride from your cruise terminal. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.
Cancellation
For the New Orleans French Quarter Cocktails Walking Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.
For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:
- Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
- Your ship skips/misses the port.
- Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
- A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
- Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
- Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
