You will meet your guide at a convenient location in New Orleans where you will board your motor coach and head out on your fun adventure. Your destination is just a 20-minute drive from the city to one of the large bayous. You will then board the swamp boat and explore.

You will experience the timeless beauty of South Louisiana in a custom-built swamp boat with native guides that reveal the mysteries of the swamp and bayous and the Canjun 'joie de vivre'. You'll discover how the seafood from our bountiful waters provides a wide assortment of delectable local dishes! Bring your camera and be on the lookout.

Observe the nesting grounds of alligators, egrets, raccoons, nutria, and many species of snakes. Some wildlife is more numerous during the warmer months of the year. Learn why our wetlands are disappearing due to coastal erosion and man's efforts to correct the damage it has done and restore this vital habitat.

This is a very popular excursion. So make your reservations, and bring your camera to capture the "Bon temps" (good times) on the bayou!

Your swamp boat will take you back to the dock and your transportation back into the city at your original meeting point. You can return to your hotel or onto your cruise ship.

A voucher will be sent in a separate email from your e-ticket. Please read the voucher for any special information or requirements. This voucher must be printed and presented to the local operator. Without the voucher in hand, you will not be allowed to do the excursion.

Excursion Notes

• We suggest you wear comfortable clothing, rubber-soled walking shoes, bug spray, and sun protection.
• Bring along your camera and cash for refreshments, excursion staff gratuities, shopping, etc.

Where we meet

For the New Orleans Bayou and Swamp Excursion, you will meet after a short taxi ride from your cruise terminal. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

Excursion Restrictions

• A voucher will be sent in a separate email from your e-ticket. This voucher must be printed and brought with you to give to the local operator. Without the voucher in hand, you will not be allowed to participate.
• Guests may not book this excursion more than 6 months before their excursion date.
• The ticket holder must present a photo ID.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
• Your ship skips/misses the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
  
• Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
