A trip to Miami should always include a visit to the Everglades. You'll enjoy an airboat ride out into the wilderness, the opportunity to walk the jungle trail, watch an alligator show, and even have a bite to eat. There are both morning and afternoon excursions to help you to match your schedule.
If you are staying at a hotel either before or after your cruise, the transportation will pick you up there. If you are arriving in port just for the day your meeting point is just a few minutes away via taxi. Once everyone is onboard, your fun excursion will begin. The drive to the Everglades is scenic. Sit back and relax in the air-conditioned comfort.
The Everglades consist of 1.2 million acres of grasslands, tropical foliage, and a massive collection of wildlife. Once arriving at the Everglades, you will meet your airboat captain. When you board the airboat you'll be asked to put on foam headsets to protect you from the sounds of the boat and for you to hear the captain's narration about what you see and what's being done to preserve this valuable resource.
Be sure to watch for alligators, of course, but don't forget the ospreys, blue herons, the three types of turtles that live here, and the East Indian manatees that all call the glades home. After your 30-minute ride through the meadows, you will dock and be able to go to the park and see an alligator wildlife show. Maybe experience the jungle walking trail that's filled with American crocodile exhibits, one of the species that is on the endangered list.
Finally, you can purchase a bite to eat on the premises and browse the gift shop when you're finished. Your driver will let you know the time to climb back onboard your transportation for the trip back to the original meeting place in Miami.
Where we meet
For the Miami Everglades Airboat Adventure Excursion, you will meet at your Hotel Lobby or if you are arriving by cruise ship you will meet a short taxi ride from your Miami cruise ship terminal. All the details needed will be listed on your Shore Excursion Electronic Ticket.
Cancellation
For the Miami Everglades Airboat Adventure Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.
For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:
- Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
- Your ship skips/misses the port.
- Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
- A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
- Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
- Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
