Once you depart your Genoa cruise terminal you will look for any stop for the brightly colored City Sightseeing Genova bus. The first bus departs Stop #1 at 10:00 am with the last bus leaving at approximately 4:30 PM. Buses operate from April - November. They run every 30 minutes from Monday to Friday and from Friday to Sunday every 20 minutes. The route has 9 stops that you may choose to hop off and then back on at. Or you may choose to just stay on board for the full circuit which takes approximately 60 minutes. There is a limited number of seats sold per day so book quickly. Please note that admission or entrance fees to the attractions/museums, etc are not included.

As you may be visiting a religious or memorial site, shoulders and knees must be covered for men and women.
We suggest you have cash (Euros) on hand for refreshments, excursion staff gratuities, shopping, etc.
Sensible, rubber-soled walking shoes are highly recommended along with sun protection.

Excursion Restrictions

Buses are designated for one wheelchair only and in case the wheelchair can't be fastened within the safety guidelines, the operator will not allow access to the bus.
Many sites in the city are not wheelchair accessible.
Guests must be able to navigate a narrow steep staircase to access the top deck of the bus.
Guests must be able to walk on paved, gravel, and cobblestone surfaces, some on inclines at most stops.
There are steps required to enter several of the sites as well as steep curbs in some areas.
Seating on the bus is on a first come basis.
Excursion tickets are only valid on City Sightseeing buses. Unused tickets or tickets presented to another operator are non-refundable.
As there is no specific end time for the excursion, it is the guest's responsibility to know their ship's scheduled departure time and plan their day to be back on board at the appointed time.

The Genoa City Sightseeing Hop On Hop Off Bus Excursion operates rain or shine, within safety guidelines. Several of the buses include electric roofs over the top in case of inclement weather.

Will there be restrooms?

Restrooms are available at many of the sites you will visit. In Europe, a small package of tissues is suggested as public restrooms may or may not have toilet paper. Most public restrooms require a small fee. Having a few local coins is highly recommended, as they do not always make changes.

Your ticket is only valid on the City Sightseeing Italy buses. Unfortunately, other buses have accepted City Sightseeing tickets and then charged the guests extra once on board. There is no refund for unused tickets or tickets presented to the wrong operator.

Can I use US dollars?

Most large stores and restaurants will take major credit cards and some may take other currencies besides the Euro. Small stores restaurants or sidewalk vendors will usually only take local currency. The best exchange rates for currency are usually at major bank ATMs. The worst rates are at the airport, train stations, or exchange bureaus located in major excursionist areas. For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:

Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
Your ship skips/misses the port.
Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
